Trade processing and support for Rates – Core Rates Trading desk in GM. Product responsibilities include Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Caps / Floors, Cross Currency Swaps, Bond Options, FX, Futures, Bonds and other hedge products. Responsibilities will include trade bookings, amendments, monitoring of option expiries and maintenances, resolving queries and being the primary point of contact for Traders. Duties will include reconciliations, review of trade bookings and resolving settlement and trade queries. Support continual developments to improve speed and accuracy of trade capture / maintenance and to reduce the level of manual intervention required in the work flow.
Key Competencies:
Perform accurate booking of Interest Rate Swaps, Swaptions, Caps / Floors, Cross Currency Swaps, Bond Options, FX, Futures, Bonds into trade capture system, considering downstream implications. Close liaison with Traders and Sales people to ensure timely and correct trade verification and trade maintenance. Good coordination and swift resolution of queries from Traders, Finance, Operations and various other departments. Supporting business growth. Ownership of all trade mechanics to downstream environments. Understanding clients infrastructure as well as the different products traded. Set up and testing of new products within client"s trade capture environment. Seek for areas to improve speed and accuracy of trade capture and to reduce the level of manual intervention required in the work flow.
Qualifications and Skills:
Team player, self-motivating and willing to challenge and learn 2 - 3 years of experience in Derivative Middle Office or Operations. Sound understanding of Interest Rate Derivatives Products. Basic knowledge on ISDA Resolution oriented and has ability to work well, learn under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadline. Understanding of the issues around derivative trade capture procedures and downstream reporting requirements, including P&L, accounting, and regulatory issues. Ability to be analytical and thorough whilst being able to communicate complex information to a wide variety of clients. Microsoft Office skills. VBA programming experience preferred. Detailed understanding of Summit, MarkitWire, LCH Clear net is desirable. BA/BS/BBA in business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience. Good command of Japanese - JLPT (The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test) level 1 or 2
