Nurse-Client RelationshipsにCultural Competenceは、含まれてるよー
このクラスのMainは、Culutural competenceとNurseのAssertive communication skillでした。
Presentationも、Groupで1つのCultural groupを選んでMedical system, belief,Practiceの違いなどをReserchしてプレゼンしたよ。
でもね・・・・結局、ほかの内容は、かなりCommon senseの枠内なんだよね・・・わざわざ1つクラスつくることもないかんじ。
Cultural aseesmentとかもね、わざわざクラスで習う必要もないっていうか・・・・Nursing journalとか自分で読めばすむんだよね、結局。あとは、Assertivenessとか、End of life Careとかね・・・・
教科書いわく、そういった「老人看護」に加えて、社会全体が高齢化してくることによる影響「ケアする老人の増加」「若いwork forceの減少(Nurse含め)」「Tax payerの減少」にどう社会が対応するか、Nurseがpolitical advocacy skillsを身に付けるようにとまで書いてあるよ。Health care policyとかってgrad levelに含まれてるけど、Health care systemに関わる授業がundergradにあってもいいのかもね。
まず、NursingでRNを取って働きたい場合、ADNプログラム(2年)とBSNプログラム(4年)があるはずです。将来の進学を考えるのであればBSNを取得しておいたほうがいいですが、早く働きたい事情がおありでしたら、ADNでもRNを取得できますよ。RN to BSNというプログラムもあって、まずRNを取って働きながらBSNを取得する人もいます。
いえいえ・・・・うちの学校は、CAの中では、いい学校でしょうが、アメリカの中では・・・・???です。
やはり University of XXXの方がレベルは高いんじゃないかな??
ただ・・・University of Carfornia系(UCSD, UCLA、UCSF)などNursingのUndergradがないんだよね・・・・
UCLA, UCSFとも、Graduate とPHDしかないの。
CAのNursing schoolは、私のいってるSDSUを含むCalfornia state university系か、私立か、Community collegeしかないみたい。
実は・・・・私もUC系に行きたかったよ、成績的には、いけたんだけどね・・Nursing majorがないからね・・・しょうがない
できれば、Graduateは、University of XXX系に行きたいです!! がんばってようちゃんめざして、UIC??てのもいいねー。もしかして、ようちゃん先生に習う事も夢じゃないかも??
