I work at the Front Desk (reception) of Braiden Hall, the dorm that I live in.
My job is to assist students who can't find their keys. I also sort mail, answer the phone, and answer questions.
It is very convenient that it is in my building, because I can always be on time no matter the weather. I also get to meet a lot of people, and hang out with some friends.
There are a few interesting co-workers. I guess I get along with Jarrod the most. We go to school games together, and we're "famous" fans right now.
If I were the boss, I would fire maybe six people. Too many people work the desk, and some of them are horrible at their work. I would also make it so that RA's (Resident Advisors...I don't know how to describe them) could only be substitute workers, and not work scheduled hours. This is because they live here for free, while the rest of us have to pay close to $6,000 a semester to live here. We clearly need the money more than RA's do.

リッツカールトンホテルで4年程コックとして働きました
I worked at Ritz-Carlton Hotel for 4 years as a cook.
よかったことのひとつは、あの有名なｸﾘﾄﾞがあり、その考えを学べたことです
One of the the good things I got from the work was that there was the world famous "Credo" as their policy of the company and I could learn the idea.
紙に書かれた理念を実現するのはとても難しいことです。
Needless to say it is always hard to make the written principal into reality.
しかしながら、高い理想に向かって努力することは従業員の士気を高めることに役立っていたように感じています
However, I felt that making the effort in order to reach higher standard of principal contributed a lot to encourage employees morale.
同僚はみなユニークで個性的でした
All co-workers were very unique and had strong personality.
ある黒人男性の同僚は私より2歳若かったのですが
型にたくさん刺青がありました
For example, There was a co-worker who was a black male, 2 years younger than me. One day he showed me his tattoo on his shoulder.
ある刺青を見せてくれて、これがはじめの奥さん、そのときの娘、2番目の・・・と説明してくれました
There were many female's names and he explained that those names were his first wife, a child with the first wife, second wife, step daughter, and last wife.
彼が愛した女性の名前だそうです
They were women's names he loved.
彼はもうひとつ日本語で新しい刺青を入れたがっていました。
最近なくなったお父さんの思い出を残したいのだそうです。
He wanted to have a new tattoo with Japanese characters which would be for his father's memory who had recently passed away.
