Q. 2 weeks ago, you bought a radio from a local branch of a well known chain of shops. It did not work properly. The shop took it back and said they would repair it. You have waited for a week and it still is not ready.

My Answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my disappointment with regard to a radio I purchased from one of your branches two weeks ago. After only limited use the radio stopped working properly. I was surprised that this happened to such a new model.

The first problem appeared that suddenly the sound became extremely loud and the volume button did not allow me to turn down the volume. Therefore, I was forced to remove the batteries in order to stop it. Since then I have been unable to use it because the sound issue remains.

Naturally, I brought it back to the store on the next day. One of your customer representatives offered to send the item off to the repair department. He mentioned that the item will be repaired and will come back in 5 working days. He also metioned that he would give me a phone call when the item is back. However it has already been 13 days since i visited the store. I would like to know the reason why the repair is taking much longer than promised.

If i will not be able to get my radio back within 5 days, I would like you to provide a replacement one instead of the one I sent off for a repair.
