Hello everyone, I am a Japanese and a brain scientist. I read the scientific article that shows only Japanese people think the sounds of insects like grig or Homoeogryllus japonicus are beautiful and comfortable, and it's because these sounds are similar to the sounds of Japanese language.those who don't use Japanese can't feel good to listen to the sounds of these insects......
I could not believe it and want to prove it's not ture,lol....these sounds are so beautiful for me to listen to in parks of forests, especially if they are very quiet palaces and surrounded by beautiful nature.is it because I am Japanese??
my question to you is, Are there someone who are not Japanese but feel good and comfortable to listen to these sounds??
Thank you everyone for your comments!!
on this topic,I am not talking about cicadas.
Of course the cicada which is called ABURA ZEMI is very noisy for me too!lol
Thanks Vanillaママ I totaly agree with you the scientist who wrote the article said the frequency of the sound of Japanese is similar to that of grig and Homoeogryllus japonicus, but I believe it's not the main reason why Japanese people like it.
