As you may know already, ISSH is celebrating its Centennial year (100th year anniversary) next school year. The school, along with the alumnae board and the parents board, is planning many events to reflect the footage of ISSH thus far.
Please have a look at the dates below for all the events which has been planned – we would love to see as many of you to come and visit and see how the school has changed or hasn’t changed since your time.
The planned events of the school year 2007-2008 are as follows:
Saturday, November 10th 2007 – Family Festival & “Homecoming” (dinner organized by the alumnae association) Monday, November 12th 2007 – Open Campus/Homecoming (organized by the school) Tuesday, January 8th 2008 – Liturgy Friday, January 25th 2008 – One World Day Friday, April 11th 2008 – Japan Day Wednesday, June 11th 2008 – Graduation (Class of 2008)
As you might remember/know from previous years, Family Festival weekend is when ISSH gets the most alumnae visitors. This might be an excellent opportunity for you to catch up with your fellow classmates who you haven’t seen for years.
If you are unable to come to any of the events mentioned above but are in Tokyo, please feel free to drop in to see us at school. We are always welcoming alumnae from different decade!
We are trying to get in touch with as many alumnae (even if you didn’t graduate from ISSH, you are considered to be an alumnae), so you might receive this message more than once. We do apologize for this in advance, but at the same time, ask you to spread the message to people you keep in touch with from ISSH!
The ISSH alumnae board is also trying to update the database at the same time, so if you could email your details (name, class, email address) to issh.alumnae@gmail.com, then we will be able to keep you posted for any other upcoming events regarding the celebration.
If you require further information on the celebration, please get in touch with Mary (Masuda) Hisaoka at mary.hisaoka@issh.ac.jp
I'm planning to be in Japan in November just for this, and it'll be great to meet everyone again. I'm looking forward to seeing the old school! (It was brand new back then...)
