教授のお誕生日に、教授のことを英語で書いてみました。
主に、海外の人向けなので、Face　bookに乗せるべきかもしれないのだけど、よかったら読んで

Today, January 17th. is RS's birthday.So I'd like to write about him.
He has recovered from his desease and returned to his work last summer.
And now, he seems have been busy.
He made sound track for Japanese movie "Haha to kuraseba", and it's now
showing at the theater all over Japan.
And it's soundtrack album now on sale, it's about 20 $.
It's available online, such as RS's official site.I've already got it, but music score is not available yet, I haven't heard aboutit.I watched the movie December 12th, and just before that, I bought the album, too.
Since that day, I've been listening to it everyday, and I want to play some of those pieces.
The movie was a story about a son who was killed by atomic bomb during the
second world war and his mother.
It's very serious theme, but the movie didn't look so serious---it's a kind of
fantasy and family drama, peaceful and gentle, although including cruelty and misery.I can't wait to play the pieces.
And today, his album "Year book 1971~1979" was released.
It's a kind of series, I have the first one, "Year book 2005~2014".
But this time, it's a little too expensive for me to buy it, it's about 60 $
including tax.
But it looks interesting, it's a kind of historical album of his music.
It starts when he was 20---around 20, and until his debut.
In 1971 he was still a university student, and he was making a lot of pieces for his clients or for his recital.
One of them was "Thousand nives" and "The end of Asia", too.
And he came out his debut with his first solo album "Thousand nives".
It's about 45 $ for 3 CD.

He also took charge of the sound track for "The revenant".
The Revenant’ Won Best Dramatic Film at the Golden Globes.

RS and Alba noto's original music score was nominated, but unfortunetely
they missed the prize.
I heard that he was asked the sound track when he was producing sond track
for "Haha to kuraseba".
Since it was just after he recovered from his sick, he couldn't decide whether
he should take it on.
If he accept it, he has to work two project out at the same time.
Then his sick might return, he was afraid.
But director Alejandro Inarritu is the greatest derector of today----besides,
RS has been a big fan of him since long years ago.
So RS really wanted to do the work and he decided to accept.
Luckily, he was nominated for best original score of golden globes----I'm sure he is really happy now.
And I'm so glad,too, and releaved to find him so well.
inarritu is Academy Award winner in last year, best picture and best director,
and other prizes for "Birdman : Or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).
And this time----12 academy award nomination!

I've only seen Inarritu film "Babel" so far, but I love it, I think it's a great movie. and I'm going to see the movie "Birdman" soon.
And I've been Dicaprio's big fan from for a long time, too.
So I hope Inarritu to make a film with Dicaprio and of cause, RS again.

Another news.
"Trio tour 2012 Japan" live DVD and Blu-ray are now on sale.
It's a tour by three members, jaches Morelenbaum on cello, Judy kang on
violin and RS on piano.
RS gave European tour in 2011 with them.
And RS's friend mr. Hirano was shooting them with his video camera and
he broadcasted for us free of charge on line.
And we could see it's archives for a long time.
I loved their performance especially the one in "Barcelona".
So I've been watching it everyday for a long time---for nearly 2 years.
But it has not been available to see recently.
So I'm going to get this DVD soon---early in February.
It's about 40＄including tax, DVD and 45$, blu-ray.
