【Frances Barb's Biography】
She was born in Australia.She learns a Butoh dance in a company
of Tadashi Endo from 1997. She teaches in many universities and
performing arts schools in London and around the UK now. She was
Artistic Director of the 'Daiwa International Butoh Festival' in
London in 2005. She has her own company [Fran Barbe Dance Theatre].
"Fine Bone China" is inspired by the Australian oil paintings that
showed colonial women in their Victorian finery amongst the dust
of outback Australia. The solo traces the metamorphosis of a
woman shifting shape from woman to animal and back again as she
searches the space between inner feeling and outer appearance.
This performance is made possible by the support of the University
of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom.

Whenever I repeat age,
I feel like becoming the words that spring points at a past.
Therefore I intended to try to keep complaining a little here.
We sing in a big voice.
