HAA (Hoshuko Alumni Association) is having a Kimono Photo Shoot!! We're changing up the format a bit and opening up this event to ANYONE who's interested in getting dressed up in a kimono to get their picture taken professionally. Since its the New Year and "Seijinshiki" season, we'll be doing this event in the spirit and celebration of "seijinshiki" but the kimono photo shoot event is open to all ages.
We'll have a few "furisode" kimonos on hand, and will dress you up in a kimono of your choice by a professional who will do your "kitsuke" and then a professional cameraman will take your picture. You will be able to purchase these pictures that day, and we will mail them to you afterwards.
Family & friends are welcome!!! The more the merrier~ (^0^)v (Just be sure to RSVP everyone).
Date: Saturday, January 17th 2009 Time: 12pm~ 4pm Place: Nikkeijinkai (Japanese American Association of New York) 15 West 44th Street, 11th floor (bet 5th & 6th Aves) RSVP: Email your name (+ any guests) and your contact information to info@hoshukoalumni.org
Since it takes a lot of work to put someone in a kimono, we're limiting it to a certain number of ppl, so please RSVP!! We'll also be sending important information to those on the RSVP list (such as what to bring, what to wear, etc.) so if you're interested, please be sure to RSVP.
For more information, go to: www.hoshukoalumni.org If you have any additional questions, feel free to shoot me an email. =)
