Born and raised in a tropical island Okinawa, JAPAN, Tokio Kuniyoshi is known as a fine arts photographer as well as a commercial and a fashion photographer. He moved to San Francisco in 2002 and got into the photography world. He started learning from the basic by himself and looking everywhere through the finder. After spending 4 years there he relocated himself in New York to seek his unknown possibilities and new opportunities. He currently works for magazines, CD covers, and fashion/club events, artists, and personal portraits. He currently owns his own full-equipped studio, Studio 11, focusing on shooting more of his fine arts photography. The philosophy behind his photography is to capture the moment by analog and look into the objects differently. He has his own unique way of looking into the world and capturing the way that brings photography to not just a framed scene but also an artwork. His works can tell a story and stimulate your senses, and before you realize, you are in his world.

写真家、Tokio Kuniyoshi（国吉歳木朗）。ニューヨーク在住。
彼の作品へのこだわりは、人とは違うものを写す事にある。我々はファインダーを通じて、彼が創造する世界を垣間見る事が出来るが、それは彼が目指す様に独創的でありながらも、決して独り善がりなものでなく、見る者の創造力を掻き立て、物語を共有する様に語り掛けてくる。導かれるまま物語を読み解いていくと、いつの間にか彼のドープな世界にどっぷりと引きずり込まれていることに気付くだろう。勿論、彼の素晴らしい作品は、そのこだわりや感性から生み出されたものであるが、長年に及ぶサンフランシスコ、ニューヨークでの活動の中で培ってきたフォトグラファーとしての技術によって裏打ちされている。
現在彼はOld-Soulzでの活動に加え、ニューヨークに構えた自身のフォトスタジオも経営する。撮影はCDジャケット、雑誌、WEB、ファッションやイベント撮影など多岐に渡る。その中でもファインアートフォトグラフィー等の写真作家としての活動には特に力を入れ、多くの人を魅了している。
