THE HEART OF THE PRAJNAPARAMITA ――by Thich Nhat Hanh
The Bodhisattva Avalokita,
while mooving in the deep course of Perfect Understandeing,
shed light on the five skandhas and found them equally empty.
After this penetration , he overcame all pain.
"Listen,Shariputra, form is emptiness, emptiness is from,
form does not differ from emptiness, emptiness does not differ from form.
The same is true with feelings, perceptions, mental formations, consciouness.
"Hear Shariputra, all dharmas are marked with emptiness;
they are neither producted nor destroyed, nether defiled nor immaclate,
neither increasing nor decreasinng.
Therefore, in emptiness, there is neither form, nor feelinng,
nor perception, nor mental formations, nor consciouness;
no eyes, or ears, or nose, or tongue, or body, or mind,
no form, no sound, no smell, notaste, no touch, no object of mind;
no realm of elements from eyes and to mind-consciouness;
no interdependent origins and no extinction of them
from ignorarance to old age and death;
no suffering, no origination of suffering, no extinktion of suffering,
no path; no understanding, no attainment.
"Bicause there is no attainment,
the bodhisattvas supported by the Perfect Understandeing,
find no obstacles for ther minds.
Having noobstacles, they overcome fear, liberating themselves
forever from illusion raelizing perfect Nirvana.
All Buddhas in the past,present,and future,
thanks to this Perfect Understandeing,
arrive at full,righit,und universal enlightenment.
"Therefore one should know the Perfect Understandeing,
is a great mantra, in the highhifhest mantra, is the unequalled mantra,
the destroyer of all suffering, the incorruptible truth.
A mantra of Prajnaparamita shuld should therefore proclaimed.
This is the mantra:
