Michigan is in America, but it is next to Canada! I have been to Canada many times. From my city I can drive to Canada in 80 minutes! People in the Northern part of Michigan have an accent that is similiar with Canadian. In Michigan we have many jokes about Canadian and Northern Michigan accents! (sumimasen). I like Canadian accents! We like all sports in Michigan! Basketball #1,Football, Soccer, Baseball and ofcourse Skiing!! We have good snow in Winter! (except this year..so warm for Winter..)

In Japan,sometimes we have jokes about local accents too.
But I have different accent than Tokyo.

This year is so cold in Japan.
A train couldn't move for many snow.
The north area in Japan,some of villeges is in emergency now.
People live in there can't go to out of villege.
So they can't buy some foods and oils.

You say America is so warm,but colder than Japan maybe.

Normally Michigan weather is much colder than Japan's. Kotoshi nozoite!!! This year the weather is so strange! I understand about Kansai and Kanto and other dialects (hogen) I think I speak Japanese with Kansai accent because I have lived in Shiga ken! People in Tokyo have laughed at my Japanese! Yes, I also like Hanshin Tigers! Maybe I am kansai..... Your English is very good! I like talking with you. Thanks!

Hello! I have only done Home Stays in Shiga..My State Michigan is Sister State with Shiga. My city Lansing is the capital of Michigan, so my city is Sister City with Otsu Shiga! I have been to Otsu many times and I love Biwako. I have swimmed, boated, fished, and toured Lake Biwa many times. I love Biwako! The Michigan Boat! I have also stayed in Higashi omi ! I love SHiga. I was a delegate (daihyo) for Michigan and Shiga!

Natto! How do you know I hate Natto! I love all Japanese food (natto nozoite). I don't like Natto! I like Japanese food more than American food! My favorite food in Japan is Soba, Ramen, okonomiyaki, osushi, and TSUKEMONO! ( I like shouchuu too! hahaha) I love to cook food. In my house every month I make Yakisoba, okonomiyaki, and Makizushi!! I love to cook Japanese food! Of course, I make American food too! But you are correct...American food is big and heavy!! But once a month I must eat big American Hamburger!!!hehehehe (amerikano gimu da!) I do not eat cakes and deserts.. I agree..Too Sweet!! choooamai!!! Thanks for being my mixi friend!!
