世界的にも有名な芸能集団「鼓童」で芸術監督を務めていた笛奏者・渡辺薫が2007年、仲間に声をかけ、一夜限りの、複数メディアによる視覚的・聴覚的な舞台作品「Resonance余韻」を開催し、観客を驚かせた。「Resonance余韻II：こだま語り」の成功から一年、初回公演時の出演者にくわえ新たに豪華な共演者たちをむかえて、第三回公演となる「波紋」が帰ってくる。今年は原点に戻り、「余韻2010」は8月21日の「アース・セレブレーション2010」の特別企画として佐渡島で幕開けとなる。翌週末は東京のスーパーデラックスで強力なキャストが集い、その後の 京都へむけてツアーに出発する。京都では、最先端アートスペースUrBANGUILDで二度の公演が予定され、たくさんの地元コラボレーターがアンサンブルに加わる。新しいフュージョンとフォルムを作りだすためだけに集う素晴らしい出演者により、今年の「波紋」は、定義しきれない音楽・ダンス・アート体験となること間違いなしだ。

In 2007, while still serving as the artistic director for the world renowned Japanese performing arts group KODO, fue/flute player Kaoru Watanabe called together a group of friends to form Resonance, a one-night multimedia celebration of sight and sound that astounded the audience. After the success of Resonance II: Echology last year, the project... is back in its third incarnation, Reflections, with the original cast and a new set of local all-star collaborators for shows at Kodo’s Earth Celebration, Tokyo’s premiere alternative art venue SuperDeluxe, and the Kyoto art space UrBANGUILD. With a stellar cast assembled for the sole purpose of creating new fusion and forms, this year's Reflections promises to be a music/dance/art that defies definition and engenders new expressions.
