Known as Mr. Pink, director Yutaka Ikejima, an authority in the Pink Film Industry, previously conquered New York City by showing the play “Birdbath,”which he translated himself into Japanese from the original English. Two years ago, he celebrated his 30th anniversary as an actor in the pink film genre and his 20th anniversary as a pink film director, and is working on his 123rd movie. ”Next” was completed after Ikejima finished his 100th movie, making it his ‘next’ film. (His ally and fellow pink film director, Daisuke Goto, gave the film this stylish title.) Ikejima received the overwhelming support of the public after “Next” was released and a fan-based movement of Ikejima followers known as the “next syndrome” was born. He was awarded the Best Picture award, as well as awards in seven other categories, by PG magazine’s “Pink Awards.” We are very pleased that we are able to show this film in New York City because it is the masterpiece of Yutaka Ikejima’s directorial career. It is also considered a work of genius in the Pink Film Industry’s 50-year Yutaka Ikejima history. We hope you enjoy it!
