The Qatar ExxonMobil Open, one of the most prestigious tournaments in professional men’s tennis is back in Doha for another edition. Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2010 is set to take place from the 4th - 9th of January 2010 at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The event is currently part of the ATP World Tour 250 series of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and is the first tournament of the year, giving players the opportunity to get a good footing on the circuit before traveling to the Australian Open, held two weeks later in Melbourne Australia. Next January Qatar will have the privilege to witness the power of players such as: World No.1 Roger Federer, World No. 2 Rafael Nadal, World No.7 Russian Nickolay Davydenko, and World No. 10 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga among many others who will come to Doha this January to battle for the trophy and a share of the $1024000 in prize money.
The Main Draw for the 2010 edition of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open will start on Monday January 4th and the final will be held on Saturday January 9th. The Qualifying event for the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2010 will take place between 2nd and 3rd of January 2010.
Matches are scheduled to start from Monday through Thursday at 3:00pm, while the Doubles Final is scheduled for Friday the 8th of January at 4:00pm and the Singles Final on Saturday the 9th of January at 6:00pm. Four matches will be played daily at the center court and many more at the outside courts of the Stadium.
There will be 32 players in the main draw while the Doubles will consist in 16 teams.
