冬時間の到来とともに急に日も短くなり、クリスマスのイルミネーションが待ち遠しい季節となりましたが、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
さて、6月の定例会から長いこと皆様をお待たせしておりましたが、いよいよ次回VIP は、若き神学生の立山仰さんをスピーカーとしてお迎えし、開催の運びとなりました。
イングランド中部、チェシャーにある街ナントウィッチで3歳と10ヶ月の女の子の子育ての合間にアルバイトもしながら、若くて美人の奥様と共に神学校で学ばれている立山さん。お忙しい中でも、若い日本人留学生や家庭集会のためにお宅を開放し、いつも奥様の美味しい手料理を楽しみに集まる学生の方々に囲まれています。若さと容姿からだけではない立山ファミリーの魅力はどこからくるのか、一度は実社会に出た後に神学を学ぶ決心をした理由は何なのか、受洗後の人生はどう変わったのか等々、興味は尽きません。元気をもらえ心に染みいるお話と、美味しい泉章居大酒家のチャイニーズ・ビュッフェにご期待ください。
なお、11、12月のVIP Monthly Drink はお休みとさせていただきますのでご了承ください。

立山仰さんの略歴：
1979年生まれ。27歳。香川県高松市でやんちゃな子供時代を過ごす。
中学卒業後、上京。引越し屋、土建業・鳶職、そしてトラック運転手などの体力勝負な仕事を生業とし、これまたやんちゃな青春時代を過ごす。その間、知人に勧められた大検を5年越しで合格。ほんの少しだけ「人並み」になる。
22歳の時に憧れの世界へ出て行くことを遂行。フィリピンを経てイギリスにたどり着き、神を信じそして神学校で学ぶことに。
CheshireにあるRegents Theological College在学中。一児の父。
会費（お食事代）： お一人様18ポンド（学生・留学生の方は12ポンド、ご夫妻 30ポンド）

主に社会人のクリスチャンと未信者の交流の輪を広げ、相互の理解を深めることを目的としたクラブ。 VIPとは、旧約聖書・イザヤ書43章4節の「私の目にはあなたは高価で尊い」"Very Important Person in God's eyes" の理念に基づくものです。くつろいだ雰囲気の中で、仕事や人生についてゆっくりと話し合い、暖かい人間関係を築きあげることを目指しています。

Invitation to the VIP Club Evening
We are pleased to announce that the next VIP club meeting will be held on November 16th. We are going to have Mr. Aogu Tateyama as our guest speaker. Mr. Tateyama lives in Nantwich, Cheshire to read Theology, and is married with a four-year-old daughter. He holds regular Bible studies at his home along with a cooked meal prepared by his beautiful wife. What is it about the young Tateyama family, other than their looks, that makes them so attractive? What is it that made him want to go back to study after having stepped out into society? How has his life changed after baptism? Please come and join us to listen to his touching yet powerful speech while enjoying a delicious Chinese buffet in Soho.
For your information, we will not hold VIP monthly drinks in November and December.

Mr. Aogu Tateyama's profile
Born in 1979. He spent his naughty childhood days in Takamatsu, Kagawa.
After finishing middle school, he moved to Tokyo. He took up tough jobs such as working at construction sites, removal companies and as a truck driver. During this period he successfully gained a certificate that would be eligible for him to apply for university. Only here did he slightly become what the society would consider as normal. At the age of 22 he decided to fulfill his dream by going abroad. After his stay in the Philippines he moved to England, where he became a follower of God and decided to study Theology. He is currently at Regents Theological College in Cheshire. Happily married, he is a father of a four-year-old daughter.
Participation Fee: £18 per attendee ( £12 for students, £30 for a married couple)

The aims of the Club are to create an expanding friendship network, to deepen relationships among members and to search for truth in the Scripture. The concept of the VIP Club comes from the Book of Isaiah 43:4, of the Old Testament, where it is written "You are precious in my eyes" In other words, you are a Very Important Person in God's eye.
During the fellowship hour, you can enjoy talking with others not only about business but also life and truth. You can develop warm relationships with other members, and you might just find what you are searching for in life.

皆様
今年の秋のロンドンは、思いがけず温暖な日が続き、いつもならとっくに枯葉が舞い、木々の枝も丸裸の頃なのに、未だに紅葉(というか黄葉)を楽しむ事ができます。
とはいっても、さすがに昨日今日とあいにくの雨と風で、週末には紅葉も終わってしまうでしょうか？
変わって朝夕薄暗い今日この頃、街にはクリスマスのイルミネーションが付き始めました。こちらの電飾は、とてもシンプルな黄色い電球がメインです。これをシックと取るか、シャビーと取るか…？
前置きが長くなりましたが、おかげ様で無事昨夜ロンドンVIPの例会を恵みのうちに終える事ができました。
