We are very pleased to announce that, thanks to the hospitality of the French Ambassador His Excellency Mr. Philippe Faure and his wife, the Night for the Benefactors of Doctors of the World Japan will be held this year at the prestigious setting of the Residence of France, on October 21, 2008.
This exceptional event is organized with the volunteer participation of the most famous chefs in Tokyo. Last year, we were fortunate enough to welcome the chefs of Hotel Okura, Hotel Metropolitan Edmont and Imperial Hotel among others. We truly hope that you can come and enjoy the specialties of more than twenty restaurants of French gastronomy, served by their creators themselves.
During the course of the evening, a selection of incredible prizes will be distributed to raffle winners conducted by the famous French-Japanese journalist, Ms. Christel Takigawa, presenter of Fuji TV evening news. Moreover, all guests will receive exquisite gifts selected by one of the finest luxury brands.
At a time when climate change is worsening the current food crisis and also playing a role in the increasing number of natural disasters, we need your help more than ever. As an example, your 25,000 yen donation will save the life of 15 children suffering from malaria, an illness that is fatal if not cared for immediately. Your contribution could also be used to offer temporary shelter to a family of five who may have lost their home in an earthquake.
