こんにちは、皆さん
今週の水曜日は殆んど皆仕事がありません。何故なら、アメリカの独立記念日だからです。是非この機会にアメリカの文化にふれ、アメリカの友達と楽しいひと時をもちましょう。もし、ホストファミリーとも特に何もしないのであれば、是非参加してください。もし、ライドが必要であればAndrewに気兼ねなく言ってください。彼は喜んで車をだします＆彼は日本語も話せます。
7月4日 水曜日：独立記念パーティー
この日は色んなイベントがあります。全参加大歓迎、部分参加も大歓迎！！
? 伝統的な小さな町のパレードとピクニック
待ち合わせ場所はＭＭ６。カープールをしたい場合はAzusa Pacfic Universityに9:30 am集合してください。その後、Stephanie & BrittanyのSierra Madre（アズサから12マイルほど先にある小さな町) にある家の前に移動。彼女達の家の前をパレードが通るので、前庭に座ってお菓子でも食べながらパレードを見ましょう。パレードは10時から始まって、マーチングバンド等色んなイベントがあります。その後ピクニックをしにSierra Madre's Memorial Parkに行きます。ピクニックはサンドイッチ、おにぎり、サラダ、お菓子、飲み物が含まれています。それにゲームやdixieland jazz band 'The Night Blooming Jazzmen'によるＪａｚｚの生演奏も聞けちゃいます。
? 映画と夕飯
皆でArcadia mallにあるAMC Theatres Santa Anita 16（高速２１０番からBaldwin Aveを南）に移動して、3:35pmから始まる'Transformers'を見ます。もし、チケットが売り切れていたら'Ratatouille'か'License to Wed'を見ます。そして、モールで夕飯を食べます。
? 花火
皆でAlmansor Parkに行って花火を見ます。花火は9時から始まりますが、席を確保するため早めに行きます。
もし参加できるようであればカープールするため＆ピクニックのご飯の量を確保するためStephanieみどに連絡してください。
7月5日 木曜日 7:30pm：スパゲッティー＆デザートパーティー
場所：Alosta PlaceにあるStephanieとMariのアパート（別名ヒショウのアパート）
一緒にイタリアンスパゲッティーを食べて楽しいひと時をもちましょう。その後、クッキーを一緒に作りましょう（焼くだけのクッキー）。もし、興味があれば食べ物の量を確保するためStephanieみどに連絡してください。
7月6日 金曜日 9:00am：Azusa Pacific International Chapel
場所：Azusa Pacific UniversityのWilden Building(Ronald
Buildingの隣)APU大学の西側で、Citrus Collegeの南側にあります。
賛美、メッセージ、小グループのディスカッションを楽しみましょう。いろんな国からの学際たちが集まります。
7月1日 日曜日：日本語礼拝
場所：ぶどうの木国際教会。（12時にアズサ大学からライド有り）
礼拝は一時半からで三時頃に終ります。しかも韓国料理の無料食事があります！！行きたい方はアンドリューに連絡して下さい。もし、ランチがいらないのであれば、1時出発も可能です。

This week Wednesday is a day that nearly everyone has off from work.
It is an American holiday called the Fourth of July (Independence
Day). It is a fun opportunity to enjoy American traditions with your
American friends. If you are not celebrating with a host family,
please join us!
Please remember, if you need a ride to an activity, just send a message to アンドリュー
-- he is very happy to give you a ride to and from events!
Wed. 7/4
4th of July Celebration! We will have a few different events on this
day. Feel free to join us for any or all of these.
(1) Traditional Small Town Parade and Picnic
Location: Meet at MM6, Azusa Pacfic University to carpool @ 9:30 am
Celebrate Independence Day, a famous American holiday, with your
American friends! A traditional small town parade passes Stephanie &
Brittany's family's house in the small town of Sierra Madre (12 miles
from Azusa). We can sit on the front yard lawn to watch the parade
and eat snacks. The parade includes marching bands, scout troops, old
cars, children, and floats. It begins at 10:00 am.
Next, we will go to the Community Picnic at Sierra Madre's Memorial
Park. The picnic includes sandwiches, onigiri, salad, snacks, and
drinks, games, and live music played by the
dixieland jazz band 'The Night Blooming Jazzmen'.
(2) Movie theatre and dinner
We will carpool to AMC Theatres Santa Anita 16 in the Arcadia mall
(South on Baldwin Ave from the 210 freeway) to watch the
'Transformers' movie at 3:35pm (if it is sold-out, we will watch
'Ratatouille' or 'License to Wed').
We will eat dinner at the mall.
(3) Fireworks
We will carpool to Almansor Park in
Alhambra to watch a free fireworks show in the air. The show will
begin at 9:00pm but we will arrive early because it will be very
crowded.
If you want to go, please message Stephanieみど so we can arrange carpool
and amount of picnic food.
Thurs. 7/5 @ 7:30 pm
Spaghetti and Dessert Party
Location: Stephanie & Mari's Apartment
Let's eat Italian spaghetti together and hang out at my apartment in
Alosta Place (a.k.a. Hisho's apartment). After a little while, we'll
make some no-bake cookies together.
Please contact Stephanieみど if you want to come so we know how much food to
cook. Thank you!

Azusa Pacific International Chapel
Location: Wilden Building at Azusa Pacific University (next to Ronald
building). It's on the west side of the APU campus immediately south
of Citrus College.
Enjoy a time of worship music and a sermon and small group discussion.
It has students from different countries.
Sun. 7/8 @ 12:00 noon
Budou no Ki Kokusai Kyoukai church service
Location: carpool from Azusa to Fullerton
The church service starts at 1:30pm. It is in Japanese language.
Church ends at about 3:00pm. If you want a FREE lunch at the
church,Andrew will give you a ride leaving from Azusa at 12:00 noon.
If you do not want the free lunch, he will give a ride at 1:00pm. If
you want to go, please contact アンドリュー.
