O-BON at the GREENHOUSE

恒例のアースリングズのギャザリングが御盆休み中にグリーンハウス行われます。8月12-14日の週末中は他にもイベントが多数行われるので、週末以降でまだお休み中である8月14-17日の期間中の方が参加者が多いだろうと予測しています。


例えば御盆の週末をフルオンのダンスパーティなどで過ごされたりする場合、残りの休日を、グリーンハウスの思索的な環境の中で過ごし、サイチルやライブのエスノアンビエントを聴いたり、美味しいものを食べたり、近くの湖で泳いだり、地元の温泉を訪ねたり、などといった風にお過ごしになるのはいかがでしょうか。

今年の御盆は私にとって特別の意味があります。

御盆は親族の魂がこの世の出身地を訪れる機会であり、多くの皆さんも会った事がある私の娘の楽妥が２年来の訪問で、心身共に出席する事になります。

これは楽妥の友達の皆さんが音楽と美味しい食事を楽しみながら一緒に過ごすのに最適の機会です。しかしブライベートのパーティーではないので、楽妥と会った事がないからといって遠慮する必要はありません。他にもアースリングズが大
勢参加している事でしょう。

音楽はDJやライブ演奏者を含めたフリースタイルで、即興ジャム共演の機会も十分あります。ミュージシャン、VJまたは他のアーチストでパフォーマンス参加するのに興味がある方は、事前に私に連絡を下されば報酬についてお話し合いが出来ます。

エントランス代は滞在御希望期間中一日１５００円と、食事や飲み物と引き換えに使えるアースリングズマネー２５００円分の購入となります。

食飲食物の販売がグリーンハウスの運営の主な資金となりますので食べ物とアルコール意外のお飲物のお持ち込みは御遠慮下さい。グリーンハウスは禁酒ゾーンとなっておりますので、ビール等御自分でお持ち込みのアルコール類は屋外かグリーハウスの隣のホワイトハウスで飲んで下さる様事前にお願いします。ノンアルコールのお飲物はカフェテリア風に運営されるッチンで手に入ります。


泳ぐのにはもってこいのこの猛暑。グリーンハウスのお盆ギャザリングに来られる方は興味あると思われますが、ここから車で数分の所に滅多に他の人は来ない遊泳可能な綺麗な湖があります。

Once again there will be an EarthlingZ Gathering at The Greenhouse during the Obon holidays.


Since there are many other events during the weekend of 12-14 August, we will be expecting more people to attend during the holidays following the weekend, from 14-17 August.


If you will be spending the O-bon weekend at a full-on dance party, what could be better than to spend the rest of the holidays in the contemplative atmosphere of The Greenhouse, listening to psychill and live ethno-ambient, eating delicious food, and perhaps going swimming at the nearby lake or visiting one of the local onsens?


This year Obon has special significance for me. It is the occasion when one expects the spirits of relatives to visit their earthly places of origin, and my daughter Radha, whom many of you have met, will be here for her first visit in two years, in body as well as spirit. This will be a good occasion for all of her friends to come and meet with her again, while enjoying the music and tasty food we plan to make available. But it is not a private party, so don't stay away simply if you don't know Radha. There should be many other EarthlingZ here.

The music will be freeform, with DJs and live musicians, and opportunities for spontaneous jamming.If you are a musician, VJ or other kind of artist interested in attending and performing, please contact me beforehand, and we can discuss compensation.


The entry fee will be 1500 yen for as many days as you choose to stay,and you will be asked to buy 2500 yen's worth of EarthlingZ money to be used to pay for food and beverages. As it is mainly food sales that make the income needed to cover Greenhouse costs, we must ask that
you not bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. As The Greenhouse is a no-alcohol zone, we also ask that if you do bring beer or other alcoholic beverages, that you consume them outside or in The Whitehouse (the other building we have next door). There will be other non-alcoholic beverages available in the kitchen, which will operate in cafeteria style.

In this hottest time of the year, it's great to have a good place to swim.. People attending the Obon Gathering at The Greenhouse may be interested to know that only a few minutes drive away there is a large, beautiful and clean lake where it is possible to swim, and where there
are rarely any other people doing so.
