Let's go to The 400 nen Shikinen Taisai(Grand imperial 400 years Festival ) at Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
We are planning to go to The 400 nen Shikinen Taisai(Grand imperial Festival 400 years) at Nikko Toshogu Shrine.

The 400 nen Shikinen Taisai(Grand Imperial Festival 400 years) is held on May 17 and 18. From 10:00 a.m. on May 17, a ceremony is held at the shrine in the presence of the head of the Tokugawa family, Sanshikai officials, and other dignitaries and guests. From 1:00 p.m., yabusame (archery on horseback) in the Ogasawara tradition is performed in a special area set up on the front approach to the Shrine in the evening, three portable shrines are brought to Futarasan Shrine and the Yoinari-sai (Evening Arrival Ceremony) is conducted by priests from both shrines.
The Festival is held on only "once in 50 years".

8:00 am leave Tsukuba center
10:30(11:00) arrive at Nikko Toshogu shrine
around noon each of us is free to do as you likes.

13:00 join at in front of Ishidorii (Stone Torii Gate)
13:30-14:30 Yabusame viewing
14:30-16:30 free to do as you like

3.get into a hot springs"Gensen Kakenagashi" (water comes directly
from the hot spring source)
an outdoor hot spring,an indoor hot spring.
