LOOK3http://look3.org/2008/index.html

2 INsight CONVERSATIONS - THE PARAMOUNT THEATER

Every evening experience the year's best images from international newspapers and magazines, including National Geographic Magazine, The New York Times, Paris Match, The New Yorker, Smithsonian, Time, and more than fifty others. After dark, these images will light up in storefront windows and at a large outdoor screen at the center of the Downtown Mall.
2 BOOKS
LOOK3 celebrates photography publishing by presenting 50 choice books from 2007 and 2008. Curators Leah Ben-David Val and Darius Himes pay tribute to innovative collaborations between photographers and publishers, presenting an intriguing sampling of the enormously diverse titles being produced today. Selections include works by photographers Alec Soth, Stephen Shore, Richard Misrach, Daido Moriyama, Luigi Ghirri, Boris Mikhailov, Alex Webb, and many more, with publishers Steidl, Nazraeli, Phaidon, Hatje Cantz, Aperture, Fraenkel Gallery, and others. Volumes are displayed for easy handling and inspection to inspire both seasoned and aspiring bookmakers.
2 YOURSPACE
In YourSpace, Festival attendees can print, display, and project their own work for others to see. This creative and collaborative exhibit is at the heart of the LOOK3 mission to share and inspire. Canon will be on-site to make prints from digital files and Apple technicians will be available to help guests build digital slideshows for projection. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this unique exhibit.
