Give yourself a Yogi's Christmas present and open your chakras!!
What are the chakras? What do they mean.. ...in my yoga practice? ...in my life?
Most people practicing yoga know something about chakras, but few people really understand the simple and important role they have in their awaking process.
In this series of playshops over four weeks we will explore the meaning and function of the chakras and the ways they communicate with us on physical and mental/emotional levels...
We will learn: *the important aspects and attributes of each chakra. * traditional and simple yoga techniques to work with each chakra. * the universal truths or life lessons of each chakra. * self-enquiry techniques to increase awareness around important personal issues. * empowering affirmations for each chakra. * chakra meditation.
Each week you will have the opportunity to experience the chakras in your own time through the practical exercises, and we will have sharing and discussion sessions in class.
SCHEDULE: 13th December *Introduction- How does yoga work? What is a chakra? What is spiritual awakening? *Ajna (Third-eye) Chakra
20th December *Mooladhara (Root) Chakra *Swadhisthana (Second) Chakra
27th December *Manipura (Navel) Chakra *Anahata (Heart) Chakra
3rd January *Vishuddhi (Throat) Chakra *Sahasrara (Crown) Chakra *Chakra meditation- Tuning into your chakras
