How about taking advantage of the relatively low traffic to ride around the Yamanote on Sunday?
Level: Beginner/Intermediate Distance: about 60 km When: Leave Shinagawa at 10:00 AM Sunday July 20. We'll be back mid-afternoon Where: Meet at Shinagawa, Atore side near the flag pole (This is the side OUTSIDE the Yamanote loop, away from Route 1) Clockwise/counterclockwise? Which do you prefer?
Beer and lunch stops to be decided.
Questions? Contact me <briankimikoaki@nifty.com>. Cheers, Brian
Me again. This is the only ride plan I've received for the long weekend, so thank you to Brian. I hope lots of riders will make the most of it! We did it as a group a couple of years ago and it was a lot of fun. Some photos here and an idea of the route here although it sounds like Brian's planning a few extra km this time.
PINK COW DATE CHANGE - 13 AUGUST
A reminder that our Pink Cow meeting for August with be on Wednesday 13th, not 6th.
29 NOVEMBER - "TAUPO TRAUMA"
Distance demons - hurry and get in touch with Brian (above) if you want to get in on the act and join us for some enduro insanity in New Zealand at the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge. We need to nail down flights etc. quite soon - the more the merrier.
That's all for now. Back to normal next week, or possibly paranormal if I don't survive the Norikura hill climb. Don (touring North America in his EarthRoamer) informs me he is missing his cycling friends terribly. Can't think who he means...
