My name is Mariko.
I live in Ontario, Canada.
Cherry hasn't begun to bloom yet here.
I haven't seen Japanese cherry blossom for more than
10 years. So I really enjoy these photos.
Thank you.
Shiro-san
My husband grows some vegetables every summer but
I haven't seen Daikon's and cauliflower's flower.
And I thought that the yellow flower might be
broccoli. I was wrong.
It was an interesting quiz.
My degi-camera is made in Japan and I use north
American computer, so I have some technical
difficulties to put up photos. But I promise
that I will do my best to share some photos someday.
Please be bear with me.
TAKAYAMA NOW
It's the best season in a year, many kinds of flowers
and buds come out.
Lots of tourists visit here in Takayama(photo left, middle),then walk to the Old Private Houses(Old Street).
The photo right is taken at the foot of Shiroyama Park.
There's a site of the old castle at the top.
To Mariko and Shiro
Thanks for your opinion. Yes, Takayama festival is
famous for its beautiful floats, held twice in a year. I had loved festivals when I was a kid.
But now I hate to rush in the place thronged with
tourists. So recently I don't have and take any photos
of those floats which you watch on TV programs. Sorry.
My first name is HIROKI. So I usually introduce myself
at the first meeting,"Please call me HIRO or ROKI
for short."
My English teacher from Manitoba in Canada tries to
calls me HIRO. But it dosen't HIRO to me, but IRO.
Well then, how should I spell your nickname?
Still Rocky-san, Rockie-san or Rokkii-san?
I can imagine what tourists have done to the festivals.
Economy is important for the communiy but tradition
and nature are also important, so.
My husband grew up in Niagara-on-the-Lake where it
used to be a peaceful little town, but it became one
of the main tourist attractions in this area. It's very
busy there.
So have flowers finished in your area, or still a lot
of wonderful color around? It's still not yet in my
back yard.
To Mariko
Please spell my name "Rockie".
I like and am satisfied with this nickname a lot.
What's your nickname? Mari or Riko? Or Mako?
Wow! How nice your husband grew up near Niagara Falls!
I'd like to have a trip to Canada someday in the future.
Please put photos of Falls on your diary!!!
One of my flowers are blooming,
so I'd like to put this photo up.
I hope it's not too late and everybody is
still interested in seeing some flowers.
I will gradually put more photos up in my diary.
Anyone is welcome.
