A big shout to anyone who came down to our house party in July. It was an intimate friends and family affair with massive vibes from the very beginning. Wbeeza and all the other artists involved killed it as per.
Sorry to all those that couldn't get in, we had to shut the door at midnight as we had already hit capacity. Don't say we didn't warn you! For those that weren't there and those that were, check out our photo gallery to see what an amazing time we had.
Now that we enter August, we start the countdown to the biggest event of the London Summer - Carnival!!! Wanting to be involved in the incredible musical energy of Notting Hill that weekend, we couldn't resist the opportunity to head over to west London to show it what we do so well in the east, throwing parties!
For this event we are privileged to be working in conjunction with a label that is an institution of the London house scene, Junior Boys Own (JBO). Started in the early 90s by Terry Farley, Andrew Weatherall, Cymon Eckel, Pete Heller and Steven Hall, JBO released underground house music by the likes of Underworld, The Chemical Brothers and the classic Black Science Orchestra's 'Where Were You?'. JBO was one of the first labels to represent British House music on a global stage, with the DJs of New York popularising their releases and raising their profile. Not keen to lean just on their label output, JBO put on some of the best one-off parties in the UK during the golden years of Acid House.
Spread over the course of 12 hours, Holic will be joined by JBOs Terry Farley and X-Press2 for what is lining up to be our most exciting party of the year. As veterans of the house scene, both DJs are digging deep into their collections for this special party at Acklam Road's Westbourne Studios. Of course our amazing residents djs will be on hand to keep the selections sweet all day and into the night.
