サウンドアーティスト募集

「始まりの起源 - 音の構築」

自分で作ったオリジナルの楽器もしくは、既存の道具を
使って従来にない方法で音楽を作るアーティスト達を、
“アイチャット”というビデオカンファレンス（テレビ会議)
のソフトウエアを通じて、トロントにある
“LABORATOIRE D'ART”（アートの実験室）
と大阪にあるキュレーターの家にリンクしたイベントの
参加に招待します。

それぞれ選ばれた大阪とトロントのアーティストはペアを
組んで、ライブイベントの為にメールで連絡を取り
合います。そしてそれぞれのユニットは彼らの共同
の即興演奏をLABORATOIRE D'ARTの会場で、トロントの
アーティストは実際にその場に姿を見せ、大阪のアーティスト
はビデオを通して、演奏する機会が与えられます。

このイベントは2007年の10月に開催されます。

このイベントの参加に興味のあるアーティストは

SOUND ARTISTS CALL FOR SUBMISSION

"ROOTS OF ORIGIN - SOUND EVENT 2007"

Sound artists MAKING THEIR OWN MUSIC
INSTRUMENTS or USE EXISTING INSTRUMENTS
IN A NON-CONVENTIONAL WAY are invited to take
part in an event that will connect LE LABORATOIRE
D’ART (Media Art Center) in TORONTO and the
curator's residence in OSAKA via iCHAT™
videoconferencing application.

Each selected artist from Osaka will be paired with
an artist from Toronto, and both will be invited to
communicate with each other via email in order to
prepare for a LIVE EVENT, where the different units
will perform their IMPROVISED MUSIC
COLLABORATION in front of audience at
LE LABORATOIRE D’ART; the artist from Toronto
will be physically present at the center, and the Osaka
artist will appear to the public as a video projection.

The event should take place in OCTOBER 2007.

Artists interested in participating are invited to send

a short biography (10 lines),
samples of their work (format mp3 format)
and a photo of their instrument (300 dpi JPEG) to :
