Claryville, NY - To acknowledge and commemorate Frost Valley YMCA’s fiftieth year of camping at our Catskills camp, The Board of Trustees has resolved to begin a new tradition of recognizing individuals who have been instrumental in service and leadership to our organization. So many great individuals have contributed to the success and legacy of Frost Valley, so it seems fitting to acknowledge that service in a “Frost Valley Hall of Fame.” At this year’s Annual Dinner meeting on May 14, we will hold our first-ever induction ceremony to begin this tradition! For the inaugural year, we’ll be inducting three Frost Valley legends: the esteemed Halbe Brown, our Executive Director from 1966 – 2001; Eva Gottscho, who still visits our dialysis camp, a program she created in honor of her daughter; and posthumously, Woody English, who helped Frost Valley expand to new heights into a year-round far-reaching institution. We hope that you will join us to celebrate this special event at The Newark Club, conveniently located a short walking distance from Newark Penn Station. The evening begins with a Cocktail Reception from 6:00-7:00 p.m. followed by the Annual Dinner & Meeting at 7:30. The induction ceremony takes place at 8:30. Tickets are available for the reception only or the entire event. For details, please call the Frost Valley YMCA Development Office at 973-744-3488.
