Ryugakusei Town’s new event: Tokyo Jungle! 〜Culture shock! Being foreigners in Japan〜 (Tips for how to get used to life in Tokyo)
This is the first in a series of events that provide tips and advice to foreign exchange students. Some common thoughts of foreign exchange students:
“The culture is too different from that of my home country!”
“I can’t get used to Tokyo! It’s too big/busy/crazy/expensive!”
“I miss home, I want to go back!”
Being new to Japan can be a daunting task, especially for foreign-exchange students since they have to juggle the above issues on top of their university
duties. As foreign exchange students, we understand these difficulties, which is why through our seminar “Tokyo Jungle!” we will discuss some strategies to
deal with the aforementioned problems. Culture shock, homesickness, job-hunting, tips for more affordable living, learning Japanese—these are some of the
things we will discuss in the seminar.
We would like for 10 attendees to join us in presenting for the event. Volunteers should be well prepared with slides and pictures for their presentations.
When reserving your spot for the seminar, please let us know if you’d like to participate as an audience member or presenter.
Please come and share ideas with us!
We're going to invite a Spanish guy who graduated and is working in Japanese company now. Let's talk to him and he will tell us his experiences and some advise for us!
