毎年恒例、元旦 一時からの写真撮影会が2010年も日米文化会館前の広場で行われますがこれに加えて今年はＬA着物クラブの十周年を記念致しましてお正月の晴れ着を着た方々を対象として“Miss Kimono LA”コンテストをｵﾆｽﾞｶ通りのお正月 in Little Tokyoで開催致します。
18歳以上の女性でミスの方でしたらどなたでも参加可能です。参加者の着物のタイプに制限はありませんがトラディショナルな着物に対してポイントが追加されます。
“Miss Kimono LA” には一等賞金100ドルと記念の表彰楯そしてＬA着物クラブ一年間のメンバーシプが授与されます。
ランナーアップの方には賞金50ドルと記念の表彰楯そしてＬA着物クラブ一年間のメンバーシップが授与されます。

《Miss Kimono LA Contest》
LA Kimono Club will celebrate its 10th anniversary on January 1, 2010.
To commemorate this occasion LA Kimono Club will present the first annual “Miss Kimono LA Contest” on January 1, New Years Day.
Date: January 1 2010
Time for Registration: 11:00am-11:45am
Contest Starting time: We'll announce later
Place: Onizuka Street in Little Tokyo at LA Kimono Club Booth.
<Miss Kimono LA Rules & Regulations>
LA Kimono Club will conduct the first "Miss Kimono LA" Contest on New Years Day in Little Tokyo on January 1, 2010 and will award two prizes consisting of the following:
Winner gets - $100 in cash and prize plus LA Kimono Club membership
1st Runner-Up - $50 in cash and prize plus LA Kimono Club membership
To be eligible to enter, all contestants must sign up at LA KIMONO CLUB BOOTH on Onizuka street before 11:45am January 1st 2010 prior to entering. Contestants must be 18 years of age. Pre-registration form is available on website.
The contest will one round in a Kimono in front of judges, beginning at 12:15 and award present at later on same day. There is no restriction in types of Kimono but more points in traditional rule.
Contestants will walk solo to spectators then a full turn plus any pose you like and move in front of the judges and make a full turn again. (then proceed to the side of the stage)
The judges (consisting of Japanese Kimono expert) will select winner and award will be presented on the stage in Weller Court at later time on same day as a part of “Oshogatsu in Little Tokyo” celebration.

Total beauty in Kimono style.
The contestant must be unmarried woman over 18 of age.
“Miss Kimono LA Contest” will be a fun and cultural event. Everybody is encouraged to join and enjoy the Contest and “Oshogatsu in Little Tokyo” cerebration.
