I pray that I may not expect too much from the world.
此の世の宝に 囚われる事から 解放して下さい。

I pray that I may also be content with the rewards that come from serving God.
貴方 に従う事によって 与えられる良いモノで、私の心が 満たされます様に。

Here are answers to the question of how a person can live without liquor and be happy:
酒無しで 幸せに生きる為の答が 此処に在る。

“The things we put in place of drinking are more than substitutes for it.
「私達が 飲む事に使っていた時間を、今 他の事に使っているが、此れ等は 飲酒に代わるモノ以上の モノである。

One is the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.
其の一つは アルコホリックス・アノニマスの フェローシップ(仲間意識)である。

In this company, you find release from care, boredom, and worry.
此の 仲間意識の中で 私達は 不安・退屈・焦り から解放される。

Your imagination will be fired.
そして 私達の妄想は 消えていき、

Life will mean something at last.
人生は ついに 意味有るモノ!と成り始めたのだ。

The most satisfactory years of your existence lie ahead.
私達の 存在の意味を 最も充実させる年月が 此れから始まるのだ。

Among other AAs you will make lifelong friends.
多くのAAグループの中で、私達は 生涯の友と 巡り会うだろう。

You will be bound to them with new and wonderful ties.”
私達は 全く新しい・素晴らしい関係で 強く!結ばれるのだ。」

Does life mean something to me now?

Meditation for the Day
今日の黙想

Do you want the full and complete satisfaction that you find in serving God and all the satisfactions of the world also?
私の思いと 静かに 向かい合おう。私は 神に従う生き方によって、完璧なる満足を 満喫したい!と思い、尚且 此の世の満足を 全て 手に入れたい!と 思ってはいないか?

It is not easy to serve both God and the world.
神と 此の世の 両方に 従う事は、時に 不可能である。

It is difficult to claim the rewards of both.
両方から 良い結果を要求する事は 難しい。

If you work for God, you will still have great rewards in the world.
神の働き に従うなら、其の人は 此の世に於ても 大きな報酬を 受けるだろう。

But you must be prepared to sometimes stand apart from the world.
ダガ 其の人は、必要な時には、此の世の宝 と思われるモノから 離れて立つ事の準備 が為されナケレバならない。

You cannot always turn to the world and expect all the rewards that life has to offer.
此の世の宝に 常に 目を向けながら、生きる事が 提供している全ての褒美を 手にする事は 不可能である。

If you are trying sincerely to serve God, you will have other and greater rewards than the world has to offer.
神に従う生き方を 誠実に 歩もう!とするなら、此の世が提供する 如何なる褒美よりも、偉大で 全く異なった 素晴らしい報酬を 手にするであろう。
