Japan-wide Innovative Teaching of English
Founded in 2011, Japan-wide Innovative Teaching of English (JITE) is a private association for English language teaching professionals headquartered in Machida, Tokyo, Japan. JITE’s mission is to ensure excellence in English language teaching to Japanese public and private schools.
JITE has specific goals, which may be modified to meet the changing needs of the members. They include, but are not limited by, the following concerns:
-to cooperate in appropriate ways with others having similar concerns;
-to exchange any questions and offer a response;
-to provide a forum for exchange of views and research related to English education;
-to promote research pertinent to teaching of English in higher education, including academic purposes and specific purposes, methods and materials;
-to provide expertise on teaching of English in higher education to TESOL and its Affiliates, and other interest sections as well as to other associations, institutions and agencies;
-to cooperate in developing and implementing guidelines and standards for use in establishing, maintaining and evaluating teaching of English in higher education;
-to disseminate news, information and research vital to teaching of English;
