Real Name: Tom Szirtes
Profile: Tom 'Shur-i-kan' Szirtes - producer and keyboardist is regular contributor to the highly respected Freerange records imprint. First came to notice with the track "Niomi's Dream" that was picked up by Tom Middleton for his seminal Jedi's Night Out compilation. Since then has released two critically acclaimed albums - Advance (2001) and Waypoints (2004), that has been championed by the likes of Pete Lawerence, LTJ Bukem and Giles Peterson.
Influences span the range from jazz, house, hip-hop, to film music.
Other strings to Tom's bow include producing hip-hop with HKB:Finn of Katch 22, Lotek and Ty, DJing around the world, remixing, some time contributor to The Bays, and more recently playing with D'Nell.
