We are Symbio, an American IT company located in Beijing, China.
Now we need Japanese for Linguistic testing positions.
Following is the job description, if you have interest, please contact me asap.
Job Description:
1) Work location: Shangdi area, Beijing.
2) Work period: long term. This is a full time job; need work 8 hours/day and 5 days a week.
3) Onboard: asap. living in Beijing is preferred.
4) Languages needed:JAPANESE
5) Native fluency and localization experience in one or more of the above languages are essential. Knowledge or prior experience in the ecommerce industry is a plus.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of linguistic quality – Is this shared with the primary Linguist?
- Creating and maintaining glossaries and style guides
- Working with CAT tools, approving translations and maintaining memories
- Representing linguistic and cultural nuances in cross-functional meetings
- Planning and executing linguistic QA tasks on multiple devices and platforms
- Originating, monitoring and resolving linguistic bugs as necessary
6) Required Experience/Skills:
- Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation and/or equivalent experience in the localization industry
- Native speaker in one of the languages mentioned above
Platform Knowledge and Proficiency
- Mac
- Windows
- iOS
- Android
- Blackberry OS
- Windows Phone
- Experience with translation & terminology tools (e.g. - World Server)
- Basic knowledge of Content Management Systems and web localization tools
- Technical, analytical, creative, hands-on, flexible, showing attention to detail, passionate about localization and releasing quality products
