The Dean of the University has decided in all his
wisdom to close the Language School at the university!
Which means nobody can do languages anymore,
the university will no longer accept foreign exchange
students AND they will be sacking lots of the language
teachers!
The JMU Dean is a proper fucking arsehole,
what the hell is he thinking!?
If it isn't broken don't fix it!

Is that true? When exactly is the university going to close the Language School? A few days ago, I went to the International Centre of my university which deals with the administrative stuff for the prospective studying abroad students to the UK, the USA and so on, and I heard that two students have already picked up for going to JMU from coming September to May, 2007 as Kei and I did. Can they come to JMU or have they been rejected to come?

students who are currently on courses to finish them,
but, As from NOW no more students can apply or come to uni for languages. And all students who were accepted so that they would be joining in Septrember have been
contacted and told that they should find a new university!
John Collins told me that they think that everybody will still be going to their Japanese universities, but after the current 1st years have finished their courses in Japan it seems that JMU will not accept anymore foreign exchange students!
So i think your friend will still be coming.

I already hard that news from mayumi, but didn't
expect that it was in such a serious situation.
I thought JMU will cloth Language school after
you or any student who are in the course now graduat.
Are you going to transfer to another uni, or do you
have to find new uni and start from freshman again?
