Just walked by 8 Ave and 59th Street with my wife and daughter yesterday. I saw a new ice-cream store named "Daiichi" on 59 Street, and decided to give it a try. The taste was pretty good. We ordered 2 scoops (sesame and mango). The lady (I think she is the owner) gave us a little bit extra of green tea and taro for tasting. For me, it was quite creamy and not too sweat (personally, I like not too sweet ice-cream, but it is hard to find since American ice-cream in general are mostly a little or too much sweet). Give it a try.
