Amazon.com’s Finance Operations department seeks a Shared Services Manager to lead the Japan Shared Services Accounts receivable team in Beijing, China. This position will work cross functionally with Worldwide Shared Services, Vendor Management and Global Operations to support vendor payables operations, process improvement, controllership policies and procedures, and contact management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: • Create, manage and maintain the lifecycle of business process outsourcing • Recruit, develop and manage a team of strong analysts to optimize Japan Accounts Payables process with the expectation for the team size to expand • Scope and implement accounts payable solutions for emerging business areas by acting as both liaison and process owner between Japan Shared Services team and various software development teams • Actively identify and drive the department's overall cost effectiveness • Identify process inefficiencies and work closely with Global Shared Services teams and Technical Systems team to scope and implement solutions • Maintain and create key performance indicators and communicate accordingly with key business partners with specific focus on customer experience, risk areas and road blocks impacting the performance of the team • Understand and correctly utilize resources provided by internal systems, departments, policies and procedures • Quarterly/Bi-annually international travel is required
Basic Qualifications • B.S. or B.A. in Finance / Accounting or related field • 7+ years of financial and/or operational experience • Fluent in both written and spoken business Japanese and English language
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with complex problem solving using Lean / Six Sigma techniques desired • Internal and external customer focus and a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations • Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills in a cross cultural setting • Independent and Entrepreneurial – ability to work with minimal guidance in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment • Confidence in communicating and enforcing difficult business decisions • Passed Level 1 of Japan Language Proficiency Test

3. In charge of aging and negative balance account;
4. Reporting and analyzing data provided by different tools and system for internal finance analysis

Join our brand new HR team for our regional shared services located in Beijing, which will support Amazon across certain APAC Countries. The hub will provide a multi-language capability to our internal customers and we are looking for HR Contact Center Associates (Tier 1) to join our team new Shared Services Centre. Reporting into an HR Shared Services Tier 1 Team Leader, the teams will provide first point of contact for employees and managers via phone, email and instant messaging (Contact Center Environment). This role is the front face of our service to our internal customers and demands an ability to answer questions and solve problems but also strong customer service skills. · Receive queries via phone, email or chat and log contacts into the shared service case management system.
· Resolve queries by referring to documentation such as frequently asked questions and standard operating procedures and escalate where these cannot be resolved.
· Take ownership of customer / employee contacts ensuring that each contact is accepted and resolved with a high degree of customer focus.
· Identify gaps in the supporting documentation and also areas where the level of customer service could be improved driving increased numbers of questions / queries being resolved at first contact.
· Carry out audits and checks on responses and cases raised as required to ensure a high degree of accuracy and ongoing service delivery.
· Communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with employees to explain and resolve queries and concerns. This could be via email, phone and chat / instant messaging.
· Be part of a team that actively seeks customer feedback to improve levels of service.
· Participation in the continuous improvement of HR processes.
