I watched a movie on TV. The title was “The Red Cliff”（赤壁）.
In China there was the period of “The Three Countries”
（三国時代）from 220A.D. to 280A.D. after destruction of the late
Kan （後漢：25A.D.～220A.D.), in this connection, the former Kan
（前漢：202B.C.～8A.D.).

The three countries were Gi（魏）, Go（呉）and Shoku（蜀）.
Gi governed northern area of China and it was strongest.
Gi wanted to attack Go and Shoku, and so Go and Shoku
joined against Gi.

The biggest battlefield was “The Red Cliff” where was
the middle Yanzi Jiang （揚子江中流）.
There were great strategists in Go and Shoku.
The famous strategist of Shoku was “諸葛孔明”(181A.D.～234A.D.).

The battle was very severe. Finally Gi won and governed
northern China, that is to say, the era of Gi (220A.D.～265A.D.)
(曹魏）. After Gi, Shin（晋） unified China at 280A.D.
when Shin destroyed Go(呉）.
The history of China is long and comlex.

Usually we are interested in the Western history, but
in the future we are certainly interested in the history of
China.

Now China and the USA are two superpower in the world, and
it's interesting that China has the history of about 5,000
years, but the USA has the history of only about 200 years.
