I went to Hiroshima City on June 3rd. It was the last day of Tohkasan. Maybe it was during three days (June 1st, 2nd and 3rd). I don't know about Tohkasan in detail. I went to that place only one time several years ago.
Maybe there were a shrine and a temple at the same place, and it was a strange sight. Usually Japanese say Inari, not Tohka as the Chinese character, and Inari is a famous name of a shrine.
Anyway young girls wear Yukata in this traditional festival, but young men don't. Their Yukata are very colorful, and they wear sandals or geta. June is a dull season in Japan, and so it's a good festival for us before the rainy season.
