　五味のアメリカツアーの模様がdaily newsにアップされています。現地のテレビ取材に答えて、デラホーヤとボクシングやったら片手で倒されちゃうとか、MMAルールなら余裕で勝てるとか、アウレリオ戦についてとか語ったみたいです。

　で、取材の次の日はトリッグのジムに行ってファンイベントに参加、スパーリングをやったみたい。以下参照。


　It has been a busy week for Takanori Gomi, the man who is considered by many to be the top 155-pound fighter in the world, as he has spent the past week in Southern California.

Gomi made an apperance on The Best Damn Sports Show Period on Fox Sports Network this past week. Gomi was on with hosts Chris Rose and former Major League Baseball pitcher Rob Dibble. Gomi explained to the hosts the significance of both of his belts (one is the Pride Lightweight Title and the other is the Pride Lightweight Grand Prix Title).

Gomi talked about his last fight, which he lost to Marcus Aurelio. When asked what he would do differently in a rematch with Aurelio, Gomi said that he would actually train for the fight.

Gomi also discussed his background in fighting. Gomi talked about how he grew up in amateur wrestling, and has spent the past few years training hard in boxing.

Speaking of boxing, Oscar de la Hoya was on the same episode of The Best Damn Sports Show Period. When Gomi was asked who would win in a fight between himself and Oscar de la Hoya, Gomi said that he would beat De la Hoya easily in a true street fight or in a fight with MMA rules, but he added that De la Hoya could win with one hand if it were a boxing match.

Gomi then put on a demonstration of the different ways to win MMA fights by hitting punching mitts with knees and various other strikes. Hideki Yamamoto from DSE/Pride's Los Angeles office was also present, and described what was happening during the demonstration.

On Saturday, a couple of days after his Best Damn Sports Show appearance, Gomi went to Frank Trigg's R-1 gym to sign some autographs and show some techniques to the fans in attendance.
