1. Organization and appointment of new officers:

Actions to be taken: C. Mori will contact A. Hayashi2, and request to join as an officer. Carbon-copy all executive members.
2. Establishment as a corporation
Establishment of CAAA Japan Chapter as a corporation is deferred for reasons including abolition of intermediate corporation establishment law and re-discussion of appropriateness in establishing as a corporation. CAAA Japan chapter, however, will carry out activities according to the draft bylaw that has already been prepared in early 2008.

3. 2009 Alumni Reunion
CAAA Japan chapter alumni reunion will be held on 4/11/2009 at American Club in Shinagawa. To participate in the centennial UC Davis Picnic Day, photos will be taken by C. Dandridge at the reunion and sent to CAAA head office. Guest speakers will include H. Komiyama, President of Tokyo University, and B. Gutlove, Managing Director of Coco Farm & Winery Co., Ltd. The speakers will talk about their experiences at current workplace for 20-30 minutes each.

4. Miscellaneous
More than 26 mailer daemons have been returned due to e-mail address changes not reported to the Japan chapter office. To avoid losing their connection, 5-minute will be spent at the beginning of General meeting on 2009/4/11 to obtain member’s name and his or her permanent address.
Actions to be taken: Lost members list will be reviewed at the next executive meeting in effort for retrieval.
Next executive meeting will be held either on 1/17, 2/7, or 2/21 in 200 9. Specific date will be decided and informed to all officers as soon as the date solidifies.
