I'm looking for a job in HK(now I'm still working in Tokyo) and collecting information right now.
I have a question; Do you think it is possible to find an apartment in Kowloon area with less than 7000HKD? I've been looking at websites of HK housin agencies, but it seems it's quite unrealistic to be able to find a glat with my budget...
I'd like to ask to people who are living by yourself in HK! How much are you paying a month and where??
do you mind living with a flatmate? If not, it's not a bad idea to share a flat. I'm pretty sure you will find a nice place in downtown. Actually I used to live with a korean girl at a brand-new bldg (like 2yo) paying 4k HKD monthly. That includes a gym facility/pool etc.

I prefer to live by myself, but I don't mind living with nice flatmates in a nice apartment!

I speak Japanese and English only.. :P
but that's not a problem for me as I work for an UK firm and my boss & colleagues speak English. (most of them don't speak cantonese either, haha) Also I look after Japanese(or English speaking) clients.
it really depends on what type of job you are looking for :)
