Basically, the boat will be designed by hybrid system due to protect boat's safety such as following factor.
1. Long distance : the sailing distance is about 70 km between busan to Hidakatsu, tsushima. and 1000 km to tokushima from busan
If the boat size is bigger such as LBD 8mtr X 4mtr X 2.5 mtr, We could equipped battery by solar power and charging of shore power enough to sail to oceangoing(Japan)
We wll try to design this size from next month.
In this moment, we have no sponser and any assistance and there are no way to make hybrid system.(Main propulsion is engine)
We had designed the boat which you had looked as following specification.
Power : outboard engine(60 hp) + solar cell 200pcs (abt actual power 100W)
In spite of this case, the expense is too much and the processing is very slow.
Recently, we arranged out board engine and control panel on board.
2. As refer 1. Long distance , the weather and the condition of sea(Ocean water), we could not make sure the success result by using of solar powr only on the small boat.
The propulsion power should be more than 6 knot under consideration of sea condition.
3. In this case, the boat will be sailed by using of salar power and shore electric charging.
But, we think that near water area is no problem but how to clear saling power from last port of japan to busan port.
In this case, we must arrange electric charging place and think about the time of charging.
Base on this data, we need more than 80 place of electric charging base. the completion period of one trip sailing could not be figure out.
Final goal on this study, we are thinking about 1. Long distance and try to find a sponser for making this project.
As you know, the boat should be equipped all radio and IT system for sailing unmanned automation control.
