Architects' Journal annual "AJ100" survey has today announced that the best school of architecture in the UK is once againthe Bartlett School of Architecture at UCL.
•This the 3rd year running that UCL and the Bartlett have topped this table – indeed, the Bartlett has only ever occupied the first place since the category was first included in the AJ Top 100 survey in 2004.
•UCL and the Bartlett's overall share of the vote is increasing – from 21% in 2005 to 25% in 2006.
•The gap between UCL and the Bartlett in first place and the school in second place is growing - from 9% in 2005 to 14% in 2006.
•The Bartlett at UCL is the only one of the eight London university- based schools to figure in the table - the only other London school to feature in the top 10 is the private-only AA, in joint 5th place.
•The survey is produced from a poll of the 100 largest architectural practices in the UK.
