My name is Ivette Torres, I'm from Mexico, city. When I heard about RCIIS I thought
"this is a good opportunity to practise my English"... but when I was in Canada for the
first time, I saw myself in the middle of a new environment, different cultures,
different peoples and different styles of life. So at first I was afraid to speak, I don't
know why, I was so shy and quiet even at the school. The course was finished 2
months later and I made some friends and I started to feel a little comfortable. Then
when I started to do my internship in Steam Whistle, I never imagine that I would find
good friends who cares about me.
In that place I did a little bit of everything, a few days I worked in the office, the quiet
place. Another days I worked in the production line and another days I worked at retail
store. In every area I had some opportunities to practise my English and I wasn't afraid
to speak anymore or to make a mistake or something like that.
I really enjoyed the time in that place, I'm so happy and Definitely this is the BEST
experience of my life, I'm not going to forget this, never!! Thank you, RCIIS!

メキシコシティから来ました、Ivetteです。初めRCIISのことを聞いた時は、「これは英語を伸ばすのにいい機会だな！」と思っていましたが、カナダに来た当初、新しい環境、文化の違い、ライフスタイルの違いなどに戸惑う自分がいました。理由はわかりませんが、話すのが怖くて、学校でさえ静かな方でした。２ヶ月間のプログラムを終え、友だちも出来自信もつき始めた頃に、Steam Whistleでインターンシップを始めました。こんなに私を大切に思ってくれる友達に出会えるなんて思ってもいませんでした。
インターンシップでは、いろいろなことを少しずつ経験しました。何日間かオフィスで働いたり、生産ラインで働いたり、ショップで働いたり。どの部署に言っても、英語を練習する機会があり、そのうち間違いを恐れず話せるようになりました。 そこでの時間をとっても楽しみました。これは、私の人生の中でも１番の経験だといえますし、決して忘れません。RCIISに感謝しています。
