Let's communicate in English!コミュのSnail and Turtle

When we Japanese express the situation "Slow",
we frequently use "Turtle".

But I found another expression in the magazine.
That is...
"Are you still using a dial-up connection to hook up
to the Internet? It's as slow as a snail."

Does the area using English usually use that word"snail"?

Of course the movement of a snail is slow,so I can
understand that meaning! (^^;

Sometimes, we do use 'snail,' though I haven't heard it in much use, lately. We use 'turtle,' as well. It just depends on to whom you speak.
I think the area I used to live in used snail. As in
snail mail for the postal service.
