All Night Dynamite

It all started when Denny was 10 years old and he was asked to make a Christmas list for Santa. He was sifting through the pages of his mother’s JC Penny catalogue and saw a guitar. The 10 year old kid thought to himself “Hey. I could be a rocker dude!” and he added the guitar to the list.

Being twin brothers Denny and Joey always made music together but it wasn’t until January of 2009 that they put a name to their project. They dubbed themselves All Night Dynamite. Later in 2009 they began preparing their live show and added Hughie. Hughie was the perfect fit cos he could shred and he looked like Denny and Joey. They strive to write the best pop songs imaginable. One of their passions is building friendships with their fans. The band spends their days on myspace, facebook, and twitter chatting back and forth with the people who matter the most in the world of entertainment; the fans!
Allstar Weekend

In early 2009 the members of San Diego’s Allstar Weekend drove up to Los Angeles to hand out flyers outside the premiere of Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience. A little over a year later, the band’s high-energy pop-punk single “A Different Side of Me” has sold over 100,000 copies and topped Radio Disney’s Top 30 Countdown.

So what do these clean-cut kids―friends since high school who got their start as Allstar Weekend playing local pool parties―make of the last 12 months? “It’s been totally crazy!” says singer Zach Porter. Adds guitarist Nathan Darmody: “Super-surreal is probably the best way to describe it.” Bassist Cameron Quiseng shakes his head, still amazed that “a song that we wrote in one of our bedrooms when we were 16 is now number one on Radio Disney.”

Updates: the single for ADSOM has sold over 130k, and their latest single “Dance Forever” is currently in Radio Disney’s Top 10, and climbing & the band is currently on their first Headlining tour across the entire USA plus dates in Canada to support their debut LP “Suddenly,
Artist Vs. Poet

Everyone has a favorite fix: that one thing that gets the blood coursing through your veins and the endorphins firing in your brain. For Artist Vs Poet, that fix is music. Their debut album Favorite Fix, set for release on March 2nd, 2010, is aptly named, as it features each member’s individual passion, creativity and love for music taking shape in the form of upbeat songs that will inevitably become their fans’ favorite fix, too.

Produced by Produced by Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (All Time Low, Mayday Parade, Cartel) and Mike Green (Paramore, Breathe Carolina), Favorite Fix contains twelve undeniably catchy, uber-melodic tunes, including the title track from the Damn Rough Night EP. Enlisting the help of Forever The Sickest Kids’ Austin Bello, whose vocals are featured on “Damn Rough Night”, and The Maine’s John O, who collaborated on first track “Car Crash”, the album has been given a new dimension. Singer Tarcy Thomason describes writing and recording Favorite Fix as “a blast… The subject matters are deeper, the music is better and it’s the most diverse thing we’ve done to date. There is something on this album for everyone, and I mean that.”
Automatic Loveletter

Take a cosmos full of confidence, a fist full of defiance, a potent set of lungs alongside a rollicking band and Juliet Simms, better known to the world over as Automatic Loveletter, is unflinchingly kicking down music industry doors and commanding instant attention. Equal parts Pink and Foo Fighters, crossed with Heart or Joan Jett for the Now generation, the singer/songwriter’s vehicle to stardom is absolutely unstoppable as her sassy and seductive new CD Truth or Dare so boldly articulates.

“The title comes from the fact that I’m completely honest when I’m writing my lyrics and I don’t hold back saying what I want to say,” shares the unquestionably authentic Simms. “My stories are inspired by actual events, and when it’s set to music, you can see my daring side that’s always taking risks and pushing it to the edge. The way I live my life is very spontaneous. I say and do what I want and I don’t really have any boundaries. This record really came because of the way I lived life for the past eight years of trying to get signed, getting signed, writing a record, leaving a label, writing another and releasing it under a new deal. I’ve toured throughout it all and it’s been one big game of Truth or Dare.”

After moving back to Los Angeles from Tampa at age 16 and making the demo and performance rounds, the California native signed with Sony by age 19, releasing the Recover EP exclusively to Hot Topic in 2008, followed by 2009’s self-titled iTunes EP. Along the way, Automatic Loveletter logged in countless miles on the road, sharing the stage with Secondhand Serenade, Cute Is What We Aim For, From First To Last, Say Anything, Between the Trees and Craig Owens, plus prominent performances at Bamboozle and Bamboozle Left and the Vans Warped Tour.

“We started touring in two separate cars with all the instruments packed in and we were literally sleeping on keyboards,” the ferocious front woman recalls. “From there, we moved up to a Ford Excursion, then to a van pulling a trailer and eventually got some tour support. We started making actual fans and getting on major tours, which allowed us to earn our stripes and see our dreams come true.”
Breathe Carolina

When Dave Schmitt and Kyle Even formed Breathe Carolina in 2007 they didn’t anticipate that a project started “just for fun” would explode into an internationally sought-after band in just two short years. The story of Breathe Carolina is a modern day music fairytale – of two friends who recorded tracks on GarageBand at home in Denver, CO, put them on MySpace, and rapidly gained a huge online following. Gaining over nine million plays on MySpace, they self-released their debut EP Gossip on iTunes, and after a phenomenal response released their debut album It’s Classy, Not Classic in 2008. With new album Hello Fascination, , the band takes their music to a bigger, brighter and more blistering dimension. The band will be taking their already-infamous live show to the UK for their second headline tour this May, before a second full summer on Vans Warped Tour in support of Hello Fascination. Get your jaw off the floor, and say hello to Breathe Carolina, one of the most exciting bands of 2010!
Cady Groves

I remember when I realized what I wanted to do in life. I was helping my mom clean out our swimming pool when an old Frank Sinatra song came on the radio. I remember saying, “Mom, I want to write things down that I have to say, and I want to sing them real loud so everyone can hear me.” I was seven at the time. Ever since that moment, making music has continued to be my goal.

Writing has always been a constant escape for me. A lot of horrible things have happened in my life, and without the ability to write my feelings down and communicate them with a melody; they essentially would have blown up inside of me, for all I know.
Disco Curtis

Being in a band can mean anything these days. But for some, the underlying passion of the last 50 years still holds true: Music can bring people together. Disco Curtis thrives on this notion, but they also take it a couple of steps further. It’s their unshakable enthusiasm for both the music and their fans that compliments their memorable pop/rock-tinged rock style. Their debut EP, Play With Fire, Get Burned, is music for the masses, pure and simple.

The Dallas, Texas-based foursome originally came as kids, where a young Howe and Novak first bonded over playing piano and drums, respectively. As the fast friends grew older, various band incarnations came and went, but upon syncing up with Garrett Perales, and later on Brendan Barone, the initial making of Disco Curtis began to take shape.

Howe and Co. quickly took to MySpace for a unique marketing plan. Plugging a photo, and quickly following that with releasing a song at a time, interest about the band slowly took shape until the fearless foursome set out on the road for tours with the likes of Boys Like Girls and Forever the Sickest Kids. Disco Curtis credits their MySpace fanbase as being the key to making it all come together.

Eyes Set To Kill

With the release of their highly anticipated third album, everyone is watching Eyes Set To Kill. The Phoenix based group has quickly become one of the most talked about groups in the scene after the group’s two previous efforts garnered them significant critical acclaim. With expectations from fans and critics at peak levels for their upcoming album, “Broken Frames”, Eyes Set To Kill has recorded their heaviest and most aggressive album to date

Family Force Five

So So Happy loves Family Force 5 not only for their great music, but because they remind us so much of ourselves adventurous, crazy about our fans, and always up for a challenge! In the face of an ever-changing music market, Family Force 5 has boldly become a forerunner in developing a new business model for artists. With the aid of a grassroots following and an 800-pound drum machine (literally), Family Force 5 has started their own label, independently sold over 250,000 records, taken over the internet, created an ecstatic media buzz (with the likes of Kerrang, MTVU, Fuse, Yahoo, AOL, etc.), and consistently attracted ever-bigger audiences to their numerous live performances.

Hey Monday

Hey Monday will never be at a loss for words when asked, “What have you done lately?” In the two years since their debut album Hold on Tight was released, the West Palm Beach, Florida natives have sold nearly 500,000 songs, toured U.S. six times and have graced the cover of several magazines in the States and overseas. The band’s music has been featured on MTV’s ‘The Hills’ and ‘The Read World: Brooklyn,’ and has garnered a worldwide fan base with its distinctive pop-rock sound. Now, after spending time in New York and Los Angeles, Hey Monday has a new collection of songs to present to their captive audience, which not only encompass their personal triumphs and hardships, but also incorporate every lesson they’ve learned from being on the road.
Let’s Get It

Let’s Get It is the lovechild of music and attitude; a band born out of fevered fan anticipation and the right to bear swag. They have the soundtrack to your next party and the image of a poster boy protege. Let’s Get It brings the scene to the club, with a sound that ranges from pop to rock, glued together by the melodies of R&B and the lyrics of rap. With creativity of this caliber, their sound is better described as visionary pop modernism. The band has managed to spark belief into even the most meticulous of critics, garnering attention from different labels regarding an unreleased song that leaked with the band’s information on it. Already nominated by Alternative Press as one of their 100 Bands You Need To Know 2010, you’ll be hearing a lot more from Let’s Get It in the coming year. Look out for them at this year’s Bamboozle Festival in New Jersey!

Never Shout Never

The best thing that ever happened to Christofer Drew was when he broke his foot in 2005. As a young teenager, the Joplin, MO native was a child tennis prodigy, destined for a scholarship at a big-time college and hopefully, a one-way ticket out of the dusty, western Missouri city. But at age 14, with the injury leaving him unable to compete, Drew picked up his father’s battered Carlos guitar and began figuring out chords while listening to cassette tapes of the Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan and the Beatles’

A Hard Days Night and Please Please Me. “The Beatles really helped me out a lot,” Drew says. “I studied the structure with their earlier music. “If I Fell” (from A Hard Day’s Night) was my favorite: the harmonies, the seventh chords. It’s like a circle of chords, changes key in the middle of it and gets back to the original at the end. It’s just amazing.”
Since Forever

We formed this band when we met in college because we all shared a love for pop music and it was absent in the Nashville scene. When we started, we wanted to give the kids of Nashville a different style of music to listen to besides the dominant metal music that was being booked in local venues. We started by getting shows with the heavier bands of Nashville, but gradually began being offered bigger pop shows that were coming through. We’ve had the privilege of playing with Thriving Ivory, Bayside, Cash Cash, Valencia, and Gym Class Heroes. We are really proud that we helped pioneer the pop scene in Nashville and being a part of a segment on Football Night in America on NBC, with the help from our friends at Rocketown, was pretty cool!

We’ve been told that we have a crazy live show by fans and bands alike and always want to make sure we put on the most energetic show that we can. We feed off of our fans’ energy and that’s what keeps us going. As opposed to touring the country and playing a bunch of dive bars where nobody in our age demographic can even enter the venue, we focus on our fans and playing shows at their houses. This way, we guarantee the kids who come out, a personal show experience and a chance to hang out and dance with us afterward. We’ve also become known for our “Cover Song Sunday” video segments on YouTube do a weekly Youtube video called Cover Song Sunday, where we let the fans choose a cover song for us record each week. Our biggest surprise was in January 2010 when we were thrilled to be voted #1 “Hometown Heroes” in the Alternative Press 2009 Readers Poll and be featured prominently in the issue. We were also subsequently featured in the AP&R Podcast #258, hosted by Tim Karan.

We are currently touring the country playing house shows, festivals and especially enjoy teaming up with our friends at Hot Topic to play acoustic sets in their stores.
Teen Hearts

Teen Hearts is an electro, bubblegum pop band that concentrate on only ONE thing. HAVING FUN!!!! Life is too short, HAVE FUN AND BE POSITIVE!

The Inheritance

“The Inheritance was born as a playful musical tinkering between brother and sister combo April Hoey (Vocals) and Ian Hoey (Drums) that manifested and matured into a meaningful project amongst weathered musicians and best of friends Robbie Blatt (Guitar), Ori Rendler (Guitar) and Alex Lopez (Bass). Releasing their Debut e.p. “Happy Birthday” this year, produced by long time friend Brian Grider (Lower Definition, Fight Fair, We Are Machines), they established a “Dark Power Pop” prowess that displayed a wonderful marriage between a power pop/ballad rock sensibility and a dark experimental conviction fueled by the soulful soaring vocals of April Hoey. Quickly picking up steam and establishing themselves in the Southern California scene, they look forward to the long road ahead of them supporting their freshmen debut. They continue to establish themselves and their dark pop sound and now have the opportunity to set their sights on the road to push their debut e.p. to a national audience. Through their strong friendship, eclectic mash of influences matched with an inspired passion for music; they march forward with a poetic purpose to spread their music with the world. Look for “The Inheritance” to hit the road and make their mark in 2010!”

Ultraviolet Sound

ULTRAVIOLET SOUND: the name captures the vibe; radiating bright light with exciting sounds and energy. The music of this unique Los Angeles based trio combines Sami D’s fresh beats, guitarist B-rad’s rock n’ roll grime with the futuristic power-pop vocals of lead singer, Sarah Hudson. Since the band’s formation in 2007, they have been exhilarating audiences around the globe with their first digital release titled “O.C.D. (Obsessive Compulsive Dancing) which was sponsored by Adidas and resulted in a remarkable 250,000 digital downloads. After performing alongside Lady GaGa, Katy Perry, Family Force 5, Robyn, N.E.R.D and more, Ultraviolet Sound, also referred to as UVS, is back in the studio finishing up their self titled sophomore release due out in Spring 2010. Ultraviolet Sound says “Our music inspires people to march to the beat of their own drum machine and DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!!!”

Under Spinning Lights

Party- Pop quintet Under Spinning Lights from Long Island, NY are known for fusing pop-punk and electronica to create tunes that are catchy, energetic, and make you want to dance! Brothers Eric and Jay Pagan unique voices blend to form outstanding vocal harmonies. In the span of two years Under Spinning Lights have become a household name in Long Island, NY playing with Boys will be Boys, Years Gone By, Farewell, and many more! Under Spinning Lights have been compared to Cobra Starship, Forever the Sickest Kids, Breathe Carolina, Owl City, and Cash Cash. Under Spinning Lights are five handsome individuals who have a love for creating music and have a work ethic that makes them strive to make the next song better then the last. Under Spinning Lights recently just released their new EP It’s Saturday Night produced and mastered by Jonathan Castelli and Grammy winner Nathan Dantzlerby.

In January, Under Spinning Lights embarked on a Hot Topic East Coast tour to promote the release of their new EP “It’s Saturday Night”. All five dedicated members and their manager piled into a 1994 Jeep Cherokee to travel state to state playing Hot Topic acoustic shows. Despite the hardships they faced on tour, including two gas leaks, driving through a major snowstorm near the Appalachian Mountains, and sleeping on floors, the band had an extraordinary tour. Under Spinning Lights caught the attention of Steven Smith from Fuse’s “Steven’s Untitled Rock show” at the Motion City Soundtrack show at Vintage Vinyl. Steven gave them valuable advice, “Never Break Up!” USL also make a big splash at My Brothers Place in Maryland, the same venue where Good Charlotte got their start. The booker was so impressed by Under Spinning Lights that they were invited back to open up for MXPX this fall! The Hot Topic shows were also a great success. The Hot Topic in Woodbridge New Jersey packed their fans in like sardines in can and had a long line extending around and outside of the
We Are The in Crowd

Formed in 2009 and signed by Hopeless Records shortly after, We Are The In Crowd is a band that had all their dominoes poised and ready to fall in their favor in quick succession. Armed with a unique combination of both male and female vocals, the band has created an honest, emotional sound that embodies everything you want to say but don’t know how to. This depiction of young adult trials and tribulations has helped We Are The In Crowd gain a rabid fan base that hangs on every lyric and every chord.

Their Hopeless Records debut, Guaranteed to Disagree, contains 7 tracks recorded with producers Zack Odom and Kenneth Mount (Jimmy Eat World, All Time Low, Cartel) and is set for a June 8th release. Though the first single “Lights Out” is a worthy indication of what is to come on the band’s forthcoming EP, it’s not the only trick the band has up its sleeve. Expect more up-tempo pop-rock, with alternating bittersweet/biting lyrics and unflappable, summery melodies that will leave you with a bit of nostalgia. Tay Jardine says the connection they felt in the studio translated to the record. “We want everyone to be blasting it in their cars with the windows down this summer! I’m really proud of the way it came out.”
