チルアウト。どっから、こんな、変テコな、言葉とムーヴメントが出て来たんだよ。。。ダウンビート、プログレ、ピンク・フロイド、ビッグチル、blackdog、７６：１４、aphex、宇宙、勇退離脱、artificial intelligence、イーノ、ヨガ、FAX、スペースケーキ。。？。！。。＆もちろん、代名詞であるモリス。。ソレは、SPACETIMEが２０年前にロンドンで。モリス、shamenのリチャード・シャープ、ジョナ・シャープ(SPACETIME CONTINUUM/ REFLECTIVE)が中核に、SPACETIMEを結成し、科学反応的に巻き起こした。８８年。バレエリック、アシッド・ハウス、レイヴ（ニューの元祖）という新クラブ・スタイルが次々誕生した時、必然的に発生。ソレはそうだよね、オールナイトでSHROOM等でパーティーしまくった後、カムダウンするため、チルったくなるよね。オール・ナチュラル、オーガニックに。
それから、このスペースアウトな、チルアウトなジャーニーは、この東京でまだ２０年後、６／３０（土）リキッド・ロフトでさらに続く。まだ永遠に続くでしょう、我々は、ヒューマンなんで、（注：モリスは宇宙人かと、そして俺はスペ。）チルアウトしなきゃ、持続出来ません。マインドをさっぱり、クリアに、＆ ソウル（特にソウル！ ゲロンパ！JBはhardest workin' man in showbiz、ミャン！ ヤツは１日バンドを２〜３回ショーをやり、スウェットし、５キロぐらい痩せ、新陳代謝フィーバーし、ソウル、ファンクを生んだ。。って、何のコッチャ言っているのでしょうか？。。。。 アッ、思い出した、魂を汗と音楽で磨き、我々にソウル・ミュージックを）をよりピュアに。チルアウトは、マインド＆ソウル・リラクゼーション＆刺激するミュージックとスピリット。
このSPACETIMEの２０周年のイヴェントの主催者は、初期のShamenを在籍したアーティスト（最近Ken Machineでも活動している）、ファッション・デザイナーであるリチャード・シャープ。彼の２０年前からチルアウトしていた旧友、ミックスマスター・モリス、ReflectiveのクルーであるMe-Sheen、リチャードの音楽パートナー、Hataken、現在のアンビエント・シーンの貴公子、Bluetech、バリ・ダンスを披露するMia & Miki、VJはA&W designと、なぜか私？が、20年前に彼等が生んだ、元祖チルアウト・スピリットを今回セレブレートし、未来へ向け、再始動。The beginning that never ends, Future to Futurists

well, 20 years ago, richard from shamen, mixmaster morris, jonah sharp(spacetime continuum/ reflective) ,etc. founded this strange, relaxing, nu musical style, movement and as you know, it just blew up, out of all proportions, can't live without it now. cheers, mate for this cosmic invention!
& not in london, nor, sf, nor anywhere else, spacetime & chillout is gonna be celebrated by us and hopefully you too, here in tokyo@liquid loft.
20 years ago, guess it was bound to happen, balaeric, acid, bleep, rave, etc., coming out and exploding onto the clubs, party animals rockin' it all night long (er, no, not rainbow), it was inevitable, really..... gotta chill out, and to some tunes to chill out, for yo mind (to clear it), yo soul (to polish it). and body (to groove it). so, the spaced out journey of chillout begins, & still, to this day, continues, infinitely, like the whole of the universe, like the speed of light, evolving, like us lot. we need to chill, get da shit out or it's either a TKO or total knock down, No MASS!
richard sharpe, the main honcho for Spacetime & ken machine, got all of his mates, from mixmaster morris, chill meister, himself, spinning in the only tokyo show for this visit, reflective/ nordform artist, me-sheen who hooked up with richard while in sf performing his amazing deep universe ambient/electronic live show, to richard's production pal & mad analogue scientist, hataken, playing his old school, fat soundin' vintage synths and current ambient scene's fav producer, bluetech & meself,er, not so sure but am flattered anyway. also, Mia & Miki performing their special balinese dance, and lights and visuals by A&W design.
coming from the original masters, the phd of chilosophy, this spacetime party is the beginning that never ends. special is a four letter word, word!, if ya knows what I mean. so, the wonderland journey to the inna relaxation starts again, yo mind & soul lift off commences, supernova vibrations forecasted, headspinnin' sorcer action & crashlandin' expected, it'll never end but will only begin, again

While encompassing musical touches from different parts of the globe, he presents a total blend, crossing genres and borders. Me-Sheenは、９３年からPro-One Sequentialシンセとローランドの６０６のドラム・マシーンを使用し、エレクトロニック・ミュージックの制作実験を開始。この制作活動の始動により、９５年にリスペクトされているエレクトロニック・レーベル、Reflectiveから、Me-Sheenの第１弾の作品の『ELECTRONIC MEMBRAIN EP』をリリース。その後、Astrelwerksのコンピ、『EXCURSIONS IN AMBIENCE』に楽曲提供し、最近では、新鋭レーベル、Nordform Recordsからフル・アルバム『SPACE FM』をリリース。Me-Sheenは、華美な情緒たっぷりなメロディーが、ディープでダビーなグルーヴと絡むサウンドで定評を得ている。Me-Sheenは、今年新作アルバム『SLIPSTREAM』を独自でリリースする予定。
Me-Sheen started experimenting with electronic music in 1993 using a Pro-One Sequential Synthesizer, and Roland 606 drum machine, which eventually lead to his first release in 1995 'ELECTRONIC MEMBRAIN EP' on the respected electronic label, REFLECTIVE RECORDS out of San Francisco. He later landed a release on compilation 'EXCURSIONS IN AMBIENCE' from the label ASTRALWERKS out of New York, and most recently , the album 'SPACE FM' from new-comer label NORDFORM RECORDS, out of Japan. Me-sheen is known for lush atmospheric melodies, accompaniedby deep dubby grooves. Me-Sheen is slated for a new album release,'SLIPSTREAM', this year, independently.

エレクトロニカ、テクノ／アンビエントの作家、即興演奏家、パーカッション奏者、DJで、東京近郊のアンダーグラウンド・シーンを中心に地方、海外でも活動しているアーティストです。最近ではジャズ方面のミュージシャンとの交流が深く、さらに活動の場を拡げています。演奏家としては民族楽器のパーカッション等も演奏、エレクトロニクスとあわせて幅広く色々なミュージシャンとライブで共演、コラボレートしています。ソロ作品をはじめ、様々な共演者の作品に参加しリリースされています。いま、メインの活動となっているのはアナログ・シンセによる表現の追求です。音の意識、無意識層への働きかけとその可能性の探求は元来のテーマであり、”永遠の今””創造”をテーマに創作活動をつづけています。

SPACETIME CONTINUUMとして知られる西海岸の天才ジョナ・シャープとMOVE DやDEEP SPACE NETWORKとして知られ、ドイツで自らのレーベルSOURCE RECORDSを運営しているこれまた天才、デビット・モーファンによるプロジェクト。彼らは90年代中期にデトロイトのTRANSMATやUR、 PLANET E、はたまたロンドンのミックスマスター・モリスといったアーティスト達と並び、同時多発的に世界中に広がったインテリジェント・テクノの最先端にいたアーティストだ。95年とは思えないほど先進的なサウンドをクリエイトし、テクノ〜ハウスの音響的な部分を抽出し、アンビエントやエレクトロニカとして再構築し、単なるエクスペリメンタルに終わらず、心地良いマインド・トラベル・ミュージックとして表現することに成功した最初の頃の傑作のひとつだ。
