Hi, I'm Aya. I'm in Australia for studying English. I can't type in Japanese, so I decided to join this community. I was really lucky that I could find here.
I live in Rockhampton (Queensland). Have you ever heard that place before? Most people don't know where that is... BECAUSE IT'S COUNTRYSIDE!!!
But I'll go to Sydney in March for field trip in art class!! I'm really looking forward to going there.
Hello, I'm Shinji.
I just looking for writing something in English.
And also, your situation sounds like mine used to be.
I lived in Rohnert Park,CA,USA.
It's the countryside,too.
If you go to there, you can see a lots of vineyard !!
I studied English in AUS as well! but in Manly, Sydney.
I have lived there from last Aug to Sep, and then traveled from Sydney to Melbourn, Uluru and from Cairns to Sydney. (Sorry maybe my spels are wrong...). It took one month. I suppose that I through the town during the trip.
I thought Rockhampton sounded familiar when you said it, and I just
figured out why. A few years back, I did a business trip to Australia
and part of the trip was a visit to a customer in Gladstone. I think
we flew in to the Rockhampton airport.
I wrote a web journal about this trip at

Hi Fox,
The life of Wollongong is very quiet .
Though it is INAKA there are so quite meny Japanese people live here in Wollongong.
Some of them are students, others are here for business and rest of them are Permanent Resident like me.
I socialize with those people sometimes.
I sometimes work.
Also if you have a family , your life is very busy .
Time goes so fast and I never get board which is lucky .
Hi Hiroki,
Crocodile Hunter is so popular here in Australia.
Steve had bashed by public quite sometime ago because he used his own baby in his Crocodile show .
He was holding 1 year old baby just infront of a huge crocodile!
I did not think it was proper action.
Peter,
I will read your web journal then.
Thank you for introducing it to us.
I've never been to Australia myself, but I had a couple of classmates who are from Rockhampton last year!
One of them used to tell us how wonderful to live there. They should now be studying in CQU...
I guess you are about to make the best of your studies in the beautiful countryside...I'm a bit jealous of that! Don't complain it's too boring to stay....the more countryside it is, the better your English can get! Why? Cos almost all you could get should be nothing but studying English!!
