And each step is helping to save lives. More than a walk, the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer describes the progress we’re making together to fight this disease, provide comfort and hope, and save lives from breast cancer.

What is Making Strides? Making Strides events are noncompetitive walks ranging in distance from 3 to 5 miles. The event unites people of all ages with a common goal to fight breast cancer and save lives. Chances are, you’ve been affected by breast cancer in some way, and Making Strides gives you the power to fight back and make a difference.
Most Making Strides events have no registration fee and no fundraising minimum. We’ve provided fun and easy-to-use online tools that allow you to personalize your experience. Whether you upload a photo, tell your story, or add your fundraising thermometer to your Facebook page, you can make this experience your own and share with others your reason for making strides.
