In order to give you a good picture of what Marketing is,
I want you to search for some 'hit products' around you (or the opposite. Products that are not selling very well is also welcome).
Try to think why they are selling a lot (or they are not selling a lot), and share your thoughts here in this topic.
Don't just say,
'Because the design is good.'
'Because it is attractive.'
'Because it is popular.'
'Because I don't like it.'
'Because it is not my taste.'
...and so on.
Those answers are not telling me the specific reason.
Let me show you an example.
I think 'Haagen-Dazs ice cream' is a mega-hit product.
Haagen-Dazs is a traditional premium ice cream maker. They have provided a delicious premium ice cream over the years and they have established a solid basis in the market as a 'Luxurious Dessert Maker'.
There are very few people that criticise Haagen-Dazs. The reason I think is because Haagen-Dazs has very clearly targeted the market, and also very clearly positioned themselves in the market.
Their concept of 'premium ice cream' is very clear. The ice cream they provide is very rich, sweet, luxurious, delicious and satisfying. And the attitude towards ice cream making - or the spirit - is real. They seem they never settle for anything less. They seem to be proud of what they are serving, also very confident. And that makes customers even more attracted. Packaging looks tempting and TV commercials or ads looks gorgeous, especially to those who want to feel gorgeous.
Customers feel like eating Haagen-Dazs ice cream when they want to feel gorgeous, or when they want to fill their tummies with something rich. Lady borden or 100 yen ice cream is not good enough. But going to Ginza or Omote-sando looking for nice gorgeous desserts, is too much hard work. There are a lot of customers that cannnot be bothered going out looking for sweets, but they still want something rich and gorgeous. Haagen-Dazs has an excellent distribution channel, and that enables customers everywhere in the world to easily access their rich taste.
...... well, this is not a best examle of all, but I am expecting something like this.
It is kind of tough so you don't have to be obliged to do all this.
But at least please try to think something about the products around you.

It may have been better if you could tell me something more about the
competitors (rivals), and state some of the advantages that mediqutto has and others don't have.
